Duties
During the course of their careers, Uniformed Division Officers carry out assignments in protection. Duties include:
Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.
Our Uniformed Division's mission is to protect facilities and venues secured for U.S. Secret Service protectees. Throughout its history, the Uniformed Division has accomplished this mission through individuals who embody honor, integrity and a commitment to excellence.
Today, the Uniformed Division has grown both in size and scope of responsibility and is mandated by law to provide physical security for the White House Complex and the vice president's residence at the Naval Observatory. It also provides security for the Treasury Department building and foreign diplomatic missions in Washington, D.C. The Uniformed Division also has specialized teams including Counter Sniper, Emergency Response, K-9, and more.
Requirements
U.S. citizenship is required.
Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
Be at least age 20 and less than age 37 at the time you receive a conditional offer of employment, unless you have previous service in a Federal Civilian Law Enforcement position covered by special law enforcement or firefighter retirement provisions, including early or mandatory retirement. Applicants with veteran's preference must receive a conditional offer of employment prior to reaching age 40 to continue in the application process.
Carry and use a firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency is also mandatory.
Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular. Possess corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye.
Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels (A.S.A. or equivalent I.S.O.) in either ear in the 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz ranges. Applicants must be able to hear the whispered voice at 15 feet with each ear without the use of a hearing aid.
Submit to a drug test prior to your appointment and random drug testing while you occupy the position.
Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA or Artesia, NM and 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD.

CDL-A Local Driver / Forklift Operator, Full-time

Pickup and delivery of cargo to and from various destinations usually within proximity of the consolidation/distribution center. The loading and unloading of trailers utilizing the same techniques, technology and procedures as a dock worker. Actual duties and schedule may vary depending on terminal location.
Responsibilities
Load and unload cargo.
Operate a forklift as needed.
Exercise independent judgment regarding the building and tearing down of the trailer to utilize time, resources, energy, and physical demands effectively and efficiently, while complying with all weight distribution laws.
Complete routine paperwork effectively, and properly log loading sheets.
Other duties, as assigned.
Perform various tasks ranging from check-in, tractor/trailer inspection, tractor set up, and the pickup and delivery of cargo.

What You'll Do...
· Responsible for the operations of all plant equipment from refuse receiving, combustion processing, steam and power generation, air pollution controls and ash handling.
· Leads Plant Operations in alignment with Safety, Environmental and Operations standards, policies and procedures

· Maintains communications with other areas of the Company including Safety, Environmental, Human Resources, Energy, and other Corporate Management Teams to coordinate activities and facilitate process improvement initiatives
· Reviews daily logs and reports of shift activities. Ensure action is taken on all discrepancies
· Proficient with PI Datalink and capable of analyzing power plant operating data.
· Develops annual performance reviews for each shift supervisor to reward or change behavior. Reviews performance reviews of all operators as they are evaluated by the shift supervisors.
· Coordinates emergency response efforts (i.e. winter and summer readiness, freeze protection, integrated contingency plan, spill response plan, etc.)
· Provides regular feedback to employees on their performance to allow them to capitalize on their strength and focus on opportunities for improvement
· Develops, implements and revises Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) to drive continuous improvement of plant performance and ensure consistent operations between crews
· Performs plant inspections and provide direction to Labor Manager to ensure proper housekeeping standard
· Able to fulfill the responsibilities of the Plant Manager position in their absence

Responsibilities
• Provide overall leadership and direct the activities of Paving Superintendents. Fill in for Superintendents when needed. Work with Superintendents to coordinate forces when possible to increase productivity. • Accountable for timely and accurate completion of employee paperwork/forms to include but not limited to Employee Status Change (i.e. pay rate, address/name change, termination, promotion, benefit enrollment, etc.), Performance Appraisals, Attendance Reports, Warning Notices, First Report of Injury, Accident Reports, etc.
• Perform jobsite quality control checks to ensure the best possible product in accordance with contract; promote quality assurance on all phases of work; visit all jobs on a regular basis to observe and assess the productivity, quality, safety, and scheduling of manpower and equipment. Prepare and submit reports as required.
• In a collaborative manner, attend (or designate a representative to attend) pre-planning/preconstruction meetings with Estimators, Superintendents and Foremen for each applicable job. Assist Estimators when requested with bid preparation. Work proactively with Maryland Paving management on production needs and scheduling.
• Ensure “essential information” is shared with paving foremen after every preplanning/preconstruction meeting in a standardized report format.
• Participate in mentoring/coaching program with Executive Coach to improve overall leadership and communication skills. Work with Executive Coach to successfully transition from “working foreman” to General Paving Superintendent role within the organization. Submit progress reports as required.
• Review all projects to focus on equipment and manpower to maximize efficiency; review job costs, manpower and equipment utilization reports. Check equipment to monitor for abuse, neglect, repairs and utilization; work with Equipment Manager to make recommendations on new and additional equipment needs.
• Interface with Owner's representatives to assure that overall progress on the jobs meets their expectations and demands.

Job Duties:
Assess and support psychosocial needs of adolescent patients admitted to the Shock Trauma Center.
Facilitate developmentally and situationally appropriate therapeutic interventions as an outlet for expression and normalcy with adolescent patients.
Develop resources to support adolescent patient population and children of adult population in high stress situations.
Educate adult medical team about child life services, developmental and psychosocial needs of the adolescent patient, family center care practices to support children of adult patients, and identifying families with anticipatory grief or grief that could benefit from child life services
Meet with involved adults to assess psychosocial needs of children and their families prior to implementation of therapeutic interventions.
Understand and provide age-appropriate explanation of key aspects of disease, anticipatory grief, death, loss and bereavement to children, their parents or other involved adults.
Provide grief and bereavement interventions for children of adult patient, including therapeutic interventions to assess children's understanding and coping, educational sessions for involved adults including explanations of developmentally appropriate/inappropriate coping and common behavioral concerns, as well as information and resources.
Collect metrics to assess impact of child life services in Shock Trauma Center with goal of operationalizing CLS position in Shock Trauma Center.
Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Child Development, or a related field.
Two (2) years' experience as a Certified Child Life Specialistwith the adolescent population strongly preferred.
Position requires strong knowledge of psychosocial preparation, procedural support, documentation, coping skills, trauma informed care, and emotional safety.
