A Client of Insight Global is looking to add a Wastewater Operator to their team. For this position you will be expected to preform the following tasks:
Operates and monitors the wastewater treatment plant's equipment and systems to ensure proper treatment of wastewater.
Conducts routine inspections of equipment, pumps, motors, and other machinery to identify and address maintenance needs promptly.
Performs chemical and biological tests on wastewater samples to assess treatment efficiency and adjust treatment processes as necessary.
Utilizes SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems to monitor and control the wastewater treatment facilities, collection system equipment, reclaimed water system and the district's raw and potable water supply facilities.
Maintains accurate records of plant operations, including equipment readings, chemical usage, and maintenance activities. Assists in performing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, repairing, and replacing equipment as necessary.
Is available and develops the skills to act as the off-hour, on-call operator to respond to emergency situations.
Responds to alarms and emergencies promptly, troubleshooting and resolving issues to prevent negative environmental impacts and damage to Rangeview or private property.
Participates with, coordinates, and oversees response to problems with process equipment, controls, or service from Xcel Energy.
Provides support during plant upgrades, expansions, and modifications as needed.
Utilize SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems to monitor and control the collection system's performance.
Works with wastewater and water system personnel to ensure the quality and coordinate the use of reclaimed water with the district's raw and potable water supply facilities which include groundwater wells, WISE water, and alluvial groundwater.
This role will pay between $70,000 and $95,000 based on certification level and level of experience.

The Industrial Boiler Operator (Maintenance Technician) plays a critical role within the Maintenance Team and supports a wide range of crucial systems and equipment.
This position is eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus.
Primary Responsibilities
Work with air compressors, vacuum pumps, fire suppression systems, pumps, and cooling towers.
Complete projects outside the boiler room such as preventative and predictive maintenance techniques and equipment rebuilds/repairs.
Ensure continuous operations of steam boilers.
Perform water quality testing for boiler and infeed water.
Operate and troubleshoot utility, mechanical, and electrical systems with minimal production downtime and callbacks on equipment.
Complete additional boiler-related tasks as assigned including pipe fitting.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
MUST BE OPEN TO ANY SHIFT.
Requirements
2+ years' experience with high pressure boilers or industrial maintenance in a manufacturing, military, or related environment.
Must possess a valid Boilers License or Stationary Engineer License.
The approximate hourly pay range for this position is $38.02 - $52.69. The pay progression plan follows: Maintenance Technician D $38.02, Maintenance Technician C $39.38 ($42.42 for weekend nights), Maintenance Technician B $41.30 ($44.48 for weekend nights), Maintenance Technician A $44.78 ($48.23 for weekend nights), Maintenance Technician A+ $48.92 ($52.69 for weekend nights). 1. Operate a wastewater treatment facility and a reclaimed water treatment facility on a rotating shift basis, and conduct periodic checks of processes, mechanical equipment, and reclaimed water distribution system, including:
Preliminary treatment, secondary treatment, solids handling, side-stream flows and internal recycle flows
Pumps, pipes, hoses, reactors, electrical equipment, actuators, samplers, controllers, meters, probes, chemical systems, blowers, GBT's, centrifuges, metering tanks, level transducers, UV system, air handling units, and other process equipment
SCADA system, operator log sheets, lab data sheets, flow charts, trends, emergency response plans, and maintenance records
Stormwater infrastructure, irrigation systems, emergency backup systems
Process control tests to ensure plant compliance, check plant health, and maintain operational performance
All other equipment or monitoring requirements related to health, safety, and regulatory compliance with EPA and CDPHE
2. Use microscopic examinations of the secondary treatment at regular intervals to evaluate biological conditions in the system, as it relates to:
Biochemistry/data interpretation, process control adjustments, maintenance planning and execution
Troubleshooting and remediation of plant upsets
Microbiology identification, inventory, and tracking
3. The operator must also monitor the reclaimed water treatment and distribution system, including:
Adjustments to the system as the flow demand increases or decreases
Control valve modulation to meet operating conditions as well as fulfill water orders
Production, chemical dosing, and sand filter adjustments based on water quality analysis
4. Driving is essential for this position; must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record
5. Maintains regular and punctual attendance

Physical Requirements
This position is physical in nature and requires sufficient physical stamina and strength to:
Constantly sit, stand and walk through a multilevel water/wastewater treatment facility
Occasionally squat, bend and kneel to perform inspections and repairs; Occasionally crawl through confined spaces, climb ladders up to forty (40) feet and balance at various heights; Occasionally reach overhead and below shoulder to perform inspections and repairs; Frequent twisting to operate valves and move equipment
Frequent light/firm grasp, fine manipulation and handling to perform daily office tasks and equipment repair and maintenance
Frequent step up/down and actuate mechanism to safely enter, exit and operate vehicles and equipment
Normal near and far acuity and hearing are needed to identify potential mechanical problems and hazards

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is constantly performed indoors and outdoors with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures during a mandatory twelve-hour shift. While performing the duties of this job, the employee works near moving mechanical parts and high-speed rotating equipment; work can be performed in high and precarious places with exposure to wet or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, must be able to pass a respirator fit-test. Operators are required to work in confined spaces as required.

Overview
As our Power Plant Operator at St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood Colorado, you will help ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors by being responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing the equipment that provides power, heating, cooling, and ventilation to a hospital facility.
Every day you will operate power systems, provide routine maintenance and inspections, and conduct regular inspections. You will be expected to monitor and track energy usage, and follow safety protocols.
To be successful in this role, you must use your problem solving abilities to diagnose and fix mechanical failures, and your attention to detail to monitor complex systems and detect issues before they escalate. As a Power Plant Operator, you are essential to keeping the hospital operational 24/7.
Performs routine maintenance, lubrication, cleaning of boilers, chillers and all central plant equipment.
Maintains the mechanical equipment such as engines, compressors, generators, pumps and steam boilers during the respective shifts.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Under general supervision, operates Treatment Plant to ensure compliance with the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act and the Colorado Primary Drinking Water Regulations.
Meets water quality and quantity demands by making independent decisions concerning plant operations based on plant specific operational guidelines set in place by the Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC).
Monitors the performance of all equipment associated with the treatment process by conducting routine visual inspections, interpreting instrument readings, and performing daily rounds.
Collects samples from source water, treatment facilities and distribution system. Perform lab analyses and interpret the results and make process adjustments accordingly.
Calculates and determines optimum dosages of chemicals used in the treatment process.
Operates and interprets the SCADA system. Generates reports from SCADA data logs. Creates trends of Plant operations and analyzes to optimize quality and quantity of water produced.
Responsible for daily record keeping, including water production, chemical usage and equipment run times.
Starts and stops pumps and operates valves to control and adjust flow and processes either manually or by remote control.
Responds to alarms, identifies, and corrects mechanical and process problems. Performs preventative maintenance including minor repairs.
Reports process and equipment status to other operators and supervisors on a regular basis verbally and in writing.
Performs work in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
Prepares work orders and other written requests for maintenance.
Creates new and updates existing SOPs.
Handles and responds to spills of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals during delivery, storage, and use.
Maintains good customer service. Answers inquiries from the public as to the quality of the City's water supply. Conducts tours of the treatment facility.
Interacts with other districts, receives, analyzes, and directs emergency calls from the public, including water related and sanitary sewer inquiries.
Ensures that the treatment facility and outlying areas are clean, safe, and presentable at all times for public tours and regulatory agency inspections.
Trains new personnel using knowledge and experience to enable less experienced employees to obtain the proper expertise necessary in the water treatment field.
Performs daily water rights accounting.
Assumes on-call duties when assigned.
Acquires readings and flow records and operates the City Ditch when required.
Inspects water towers and vaults.
Works closely with City Engineering Team for timely completion of Plant related projects.
Performs other duties as assigned and required.
Other Duties & Responsibilities
Maintains plant's grounds, structures, and operates a boat.
Provides input to the supervisor concerning preparation of the division's budget.
PREPARATION AND TRAINING Education
High School Diploma or GED.
Work Experience
Water Treatment Plant experience preferred.
Certifications and/or Licensures
State Operator Certification required. The goal of the Utilities Department is for all operators to be A-Level certified and maintain their certification (all levels) through acquiring training units (TUs).
Required Driver's License
Valid Colorado Driver's License and safe driving record; Commercial License preferred.
An equivalent combination of education, training and relevant job experience may be substituted.

D-Level operators shall obtain their C-Level water treatment certification within 1 year of being eligible to take the certification exam.
C-Level Certification
Meet the requirements of D-Level operator and some knowledge of:
Water system hydraulics
Regulations governing water systems.
Ability to perform preventative maintenance for pumps and motors.
C-Level operators shall obtain their B-Level water treatment certification within 1 year of being eligible to take the certification exam.
B-Level Certification
Meet the requirements of C-Level operator and some knowledge of:
Chemical and biological contamination of surface water and ways to treat it.
Disinfection of drinking water
Common filter operation, problems, and remedies
Working knowledge of water quality standards
B-Level operators shall obtain their A-Level water treatment certification within 1 year of being eligible to take the certification exam.
A-Level Certification
Meet the requirements of B-Level operator and:
Ability to train new employees in plant operations and maintenance.
Handle most emergency situations with minimal supervision.
Ability to assume the role of an Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) within 1 year of hire or passing the A-Level certification exam.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed in a plant environment. Works near moving mechanical parts; exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and various chemicals, some of which may be toxic. The employee is exposed to various conditions including noisy, hot, and cold conditions.
