Job Scope
The Supply Chain Planner and Buyer is responsible for all supply and demand planning tasks necessary to ensure an uninterrupted flow of Instrument, Reagent, and Bioassay products to customers. This role creates and implements production plans that are both material and resource feasible and serves as the primary point of contact regarding product availability. The Supply Chain Planner and Buyer manages the business relationship between Luminex and it's suppliers to purchase goods and services for the company at the lowest total cost. * Utilizes demand forecasts and sales trends to create and maintain demand plans, capacity plans, and master production schedules.

Senior Transportation Planner

As a Senior Transportation Planner, you will have overall responsibility for day-to-day load planning execution of multiple modes of transportation (intermodal, truckload, multi-stop, and less-than-truckload) across LSNA's (Lindt & Sprungli (North America)) most complex and/or highest volume distribution/ manufacturing location(s). Collaborate with customer service across the brands we support (Lindt USA, Ghirardelli, and Russel Stover), distribution centers, carriers, and planning to optimize customer service and operational efficiencies. Work cross-functionally across the supply chain to achieve service and cost targets.
Essential Functions
* Ability to multitask and work under a demanding, fast paced environment
* Review shipment routing and freight costs to optimize total distribution cost, while achieving service targets
* Use knowledge of transit time, carrier base, and cost to successfully assign daily shipments; adjusting pickup and delivery dates as needed
* Effectively and proactively communicate with customer service, plants/ DCs, and carriers to minimize impact of late / potentially late trucks
* Coordinate daily load planning across all modes of transportation, reviewing and making recommendations for operational improvements
* Due to the volume and operational complexities, must be willing to work additional hours during the peak season (4-5 months)
* Basic understanding of transportation financials to make effective operational decisions.
* Ensure that carrier(s) follow LSNA protocol: Timely appointing, appropriate drop trailer pools, timely pick-up and delivery, timely status updates, tender acceptance rate, on-time pick up and on-time delivery
* Work daily within our Transportation Management System (TMS) for operational execution
* Monitor carrier performance and follow-up with carriers when improvements are needed
* Approve upcharges and additional costs with carriers when needed
* Take on special projects and duties as assigned by management

Position Overview
This position is accountable for assisting the squad in the preparation of exhibits, reports and plan sheets for highway and bridge improvements by performing drafting, checking of calculations, and other routine tasks.
Essential Functions
Drafts detailed layouts of highway improvements utilizing CADD, which are used in the preparation of complete design plans.
Performs routine calculations for quantities.
Assists with informational meetings, public hearings, and presentations to describe projects, including the preparation of exhibits and maps.
Ensures assignments are accomplished in an accurate and timely manner in compliance with design standards and specifications.
Performs duties in compliance with departmental safety rules. Performs all duties in a manner conducive to the fair and equitable treatment of all employees.

Minimum Qualifications
Completion of two years of college in civil engineering technology, pre-engineering or a job related technical/science curriculum, OR two years of engineering experience.
