Acuren seeking experienced RAIS Planners to support our operation in Mandan, North Dakota, and across the US West region. The RIAS Embedded Planner is responsible for day to day development, coordination, and execution of inspection and mechanical projects utilizing RAT Solutions (Remote Access Technology). In order to ensure effective planning, scheduling, and execution of asset inspections and mechanical services, this individual will work closely with the Chief Inspector, inspection teams, project managers, and supporting contractors. The highest standards of compliance, quality, and safety are of paramount importance at all times.
Responsibilities
* Maintain daily contact with the client regarding the progress of projects and work priorities, estimate the best cost possible, assign hours to the execution of the scope and assemble and distribute work packages.
* Ensure that work methods, procedures, standards, and training are developed and maintained at the site level to support both client employees and Acuren employees.
* Engage in close collaboration with the client's planning team and demonstrate a clear understanding of the deliverables when defining the scope of the project.
* In collaboration with the client inspection group, develop appropriate work packages to ensure a clear understanding of the deliverables.
* Coordinate and schedule mechanical work scopes & inspections, ensuring that equipment, personnel, and permits are available.
* Identify the scope of work, timelines, and deliverables for each project in collaboration with inspection teams and project managers.
* Promote Acuren's safety culture by utilizing best practices, making sure that correct procedures are followed, identifying and mitigating hazards, and leading by example.
* Manage and direct multiple mechanical and/or NDE rope crews and ensure a clear understanding of the work scope and deliverables.
* Assist the local logistics team in providing employees and site leaders with the resources, equipment, training, and tools required to perform their duties effectively.
* Mentoring and actively participating in performance management at the site.
* Determine the most effective and appropriate method of access for performing work, whether that be conventional (scaffolding, JLG etc.) or alternative (RAT solutions, V-Deck etc.) and Liase with team leads to ensure that it is conducted in a proper manner.
* Establish and maintain detailed RIAS plans for inspections & mechanical scopes, ensuring that regulatory requirements, client specifications, and asset integrity protocols are met.
* Analyze inspection data and previous reports to determine the best intervals and methods for future inspections.
* Maintain an accurate and timely record of all inspection documentation, including reports, checklists, and findings.
* Develop risk-based inspection (RBI) plans to prioritize critical assets and reduce operational risks.
* Provide updates to clients and stakeholders, resolve issues, and ensure the smooth execution of inspection projects.
* Maintain a working knowledge of the industry's standards, regulations, and best practices with respect to NDT and asset integrity.

Requirements
* Mechanical integrity experience related to refinery failure mechanisms.
* Ability to build and maintain effective client relationships, anticipating and managing client expectations effectively.

* Certification, previous certification, or extensive knowledge of NDT methods
* Strong, experience based, working knowledge of mechanical trades (insulation, pipefitting, coatings)
* Certified and experienced rope access level 3 by IRATA/SPRAT
* Certification in NDT (ASNT Level II or III) or similar qualifications is an asset
* Certification or training in risk-based inspection methodologies (e.g., API 580/581) is a plus.
