THE OPPORTUNITY Under the supervision of the Office of Resilience Planning Program Manager, the Resilience Planner will work along the Senior Resilience Planner to support the development, administration, and implementation of DCR's flood resilience planning efforts. Work responsibilities may include: * Strategic Planning and Reporting * Assist with overall program strategic development and implementation. * Evaluate local, state, and federal policies, programs, and resources related to flood resilience. * Assist with metric tracking and reporting. * Communications * Assist with documenting and communicating stakeholder feedback as well as program accomplishments. * Produce reports, presentations, flyers, and other media to communicate planned, proposed, and ongoing activities. * Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with professional colleagues and representatives from other agencies and the public. * Working with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as independently and in teams. * Coordination, Outreach, and Engagement * Assist with assessing and supporting stakeholder needs, including training, data, tools, and technical expertise tailors to needs that vary across geography, scale, and interests. * Gather, synthesize, and report on information from stakeholders and reporting including, but not limited to, flood resilience initiatives, projects, and funding strategies. * Design and facilitate collaborative meetings for meaningful engagement and peer-to-peer sharing using co-development best practices. * Lead or support public outreach for community resilience projects, both virtual and in-person. * Connect stakeholders with available federal, state, and local resources. * Manage stakeholder contact information and associated engagement activity information. * Attend and represent the Office of Resilience Planning in other stakeholder planning efforts including but not limited to, hazard mitigation planning, coastal storm risk management studies and projects, and flood resilience plans.
