Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or closely related field; supplemented by one (1) year previous experience and/or training involving urban planning, local/regional land use, zoning, land development plan review, site plan review, and personal computer operations; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license. Supplemental Information PERFORMANCE BASED INTERNAL PROMOTION TRACK Within the Planning and Community Development Department are internal promotional opportunities where qualified staff may apply for other positions at a higher pay grade. After two (2) years of relevant experience as a Planner I and having demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job, the incumbent may be eligible to apply for a Planner II position.
