JOB SUMMARY Reporting directly to the Value Stream Manager and dotted line to the Materials Manager. The successful candidate will focus on the following key areas: Buying, On Time delivery, materials forecasting, sourcing, procurement, order fulfillment, supplier management, inventory management, report generation and analysis. Plays an active role in the development and execution of purchasing strategies that support the overall supply chain and maximize cost savings. Monitor and make timely recommendations of production based on changes or deviations within the business requirements. Ensures quick resolution of shipping discrepancies, receiving errors, invoice errors, and authorizes all inventory adjustments. Coordinates adjustments to ship dates or quantities on open purchase orders as necessary. Works to eliminate excess and obsolete parts and rationalize similar parts.
