Program Details The Ascend Pilot Academy is a new flight training program designed for aspiring commercial pilots with little or no flying experience to complete an intensive training and experience-building program before joining Horizon Air as a First Officer. As part of Horizon Air and Alaska Airlines commitment to equity, this program is designed to help all aspiring pilots, including those who may need financial support to make their dream of a flying career a reality.
Training Location: Hillsboro Aero Academy in Hillsboro & Redmond Oregon
Program Length: Approximately 3-3.5 years
Stipends: $27,000 towards commercial pilot certificate and up to $3500 to cover the CFII (Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument Certificate)
Student Commitment: A minimum of 3 years working as a pilot for Horizon Air once all training, certificate and flight experience requirements are completed
Pathway to Alaska Airlines: An opportunity to join Alaska Airlines as a First Officer is available as part of the Pilot Pathways program once eligibility is met

THE JOB
The Gorge Amphitheater seeks a CCTV Operator & Drone pilot responsible for,operating safety drone fleet, resource allocation, and communication during emergency incidents. Primary duties include monitoring and operating various video screens, operating flights of safety drones within FAA rules and exceptions,, and collaborating with venue and emergency personnel. The role requires efficient communication, technology utilization, and critical information gathering for effective emergency response.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Work in conjunction with the venue management to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures that relate to local, state, and federal laws and regulations
Work directly with venue management regarding issues that require the attention of medical, security, or law enforcement
Monitor venue CCTV during all phases of event to ensure safety of all parties on-site
Maintain a log of all incidents that are observed on CCTV or Drone flights during each event
Investigates and resolves complaints via venue CCTV
Monitors venue activity and informs department heads of potential deployment changes needed
Observe visitors, patrons, and employees via CCTV to preserve order and protect property
Operate professional surveillance drones and monitor drone cameras during all phases of event

The fixed wing pilot is responsible for safely operating Pilatus aircraft to facilitate the transport of critically ill and/or injured patients. Fixed wing pilots possess strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people, one-on-one and in large groups, sometimes in highly stressful situations. The fixed wing pilot will be required to work varied shifts and may be required to be available for on call shifts. Our float positions are full-time. The purpose of our float pilot is to cover open shifts on the schedule due to line pilot vacations, leave, etc. Seven shifts are guaranteed in the pay period, but may not be consecutive or all at the same base.
QUALIFICATIONS:
