We are seeking a full-time Flight Test Pilot in our Salem, OR location. In this role, you will be responsible for performing simple and moderately complex flight test pilot activities including developing ground and flight test plans, serving as Pilot in Command during execution of flight tests, operating data collection systems and post processes flight data, developing a thorough understanding of the system under test, and applying understanding of certification processes and regulations. Keep in mind this position requires a minimum of 1500 flight hours in rotorcraft (helicopter) hours and an engineering degree. You will report to the Chief Pilot and will be responsible for the following, including but not limited to: Cover an EU contract or CWN contract for firefighting Cover other utility operations as needed to meet the needs of projects at hand with corresponding work schedules. Present the aircraft and operation in a professional manner to the customer (USFS). Exercise good judgement and solid airman-ship to safely operate the aircraft. Job Responsibilities Cover an EU contract or CWN contract. Contract starts May/June 2025, expected to last through the end of fire season. If on a CWN contract, a guaranteed number of workdays equivalent to an EU contract will be agreed upon and paid as a salary throughout the season. Cover the fire contract on either a 12/12 or 12/2 schedule. If operated on a 12/2, occasionally longer breaks to travel back home may be arranged based on helicopter operations and relief pilot availability. All travel and accommodation, including per diem, is paid for. Cover other utility operations as needed to meet the needs of projects at hand with corresponding work schedules. Job Title Pilot Express Driver Department Student Activities Terms and Hours Flexible hours, mostly around UP breaks and on weekends Job Category Student Employment Hourly Wage Portland Metro Minimum Wage ($15.95) Job Summary Transport students to and from the University from various locations in the Portland area. Core Duties * Drivers will drive students in reserved ASUP vans to and from the PDX airport, train station, and Greyhound bus station during the scheduled breaks from school, as well as to and from convenience/grocery stores, and other common locations frequented by UP students throughout the year. * Pilot Express offers round-trip transportation to all destinations pending availability. At the end of each scheduled ride, drivers will pick up students at each destination and bring them back to campus on the designated pick up day(s)/time(s). * Drivers will need to communicate effectively with both the Pilot Express Director and the riders. * Drivers will need to be flexible and be able to adjust to changing circumstances while driving for the Pilot Express. * Drivers will submit their availability for each break to the director and the director will determine the driving schedule for that break. * Please keep in mind that each driver will not necessarily be scheduled to drive on the days and times that they are available. * Other relevant duties as assigned.
