Under administrative direction, the purpose of the position is to perform flight operations within the Aviation Division of the Sheriff's Office Department of Fire Rescue and Emergency Services. Employees in this classification are certified public safety employees. Draken is looking for experienced F-16 Instructor Pilots for duty at a Romanian Air Force (RoAF) F-16 Training Center located at the 86
th
Air Base (86AB), near Borcea Romania. Instructor pilots will be flying former Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) F-16M (F-16A/B Block-15 aircraft upgraded to the Mid-life upgrade configuration) to train RoAF pilots.
Prefer candidates be available for an 18-month contract period. Some reduced periods of availability may be acceptable, but not less than 3 months. F-16 recency is required for shorter timeframes.
Job Responsibility:
Instructing and executing during F-16 simulator training scenarios
Performing Platform F-16 Instruction
Flying and instructing airborne in F-16 aircraft
Attend mass briefings, flight briefings, Plan and fly F-16 training missions. Accomplish flight debriefings and attend mass debriefings
Adhere to all training rules and pre-briefed maneuvering restrictions
Collect and disseminate lessons learned
Accomplish necessary ground training prior to flights
Deploy as required to support mission requirements
Execute administrative and command and control functions of the RoAF F-16 Training Center
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Current FAA Class II medical rating
Commercial, Single-Engine pilot certificate
Must obtain/maintain secret security clearance by 1 Sept 2023
F-16 qualifications
Current F-16 qualification desired
2,000+ F-16 hours
500+ F-16 Instructor hours, F-16 RTU Instructor Time highly desired
Must provide statement of F-16 recency for each pilot.

Insight Global is seeking a Top Secret Cleared F-16 Instructor Pilot to support a federal client at Homestead Air Reserve Base in Florida. The individuals primary responsibility would be to fly realistic adversary air tactics in support of the ANG and Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC). Additional responsibilities include operating the simulator console during missions to simulate threat representative tactics, defenses, and engagements against blue forces. The individual may also be tasked to provide subject matter expertise in mission planning, simulator academics, and operating debrief tools. This will require coordination with unit Weapons Officer/Instructor Pilots (IPs) to present realistic air picture to achieve mission training objectives. The Instructor Pilot responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Simulate red air tactics and operate varying threat cockpit controls that include digital cockpit displays, stick & throttle, etc.
- When required, act as Mission Director or Red Czar depending on scenario.
- Operate the simulator console and debriefing system during and after missions.
- Provide subject matter expertise regarding advanced air tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) during the planning and execution of AFRC operations.
- Support the development, coordination, and integration of AFRC events to maximize training.
- Orchestrate scenarios and constructive inputs for training events.
- Create and modify mission-planning materials/academics to ensure participants achieve maximum training.
- Provide instructor level expertise to help shape tactical training for participants.
- Report issues related to stimulation software applications and provide basic trouble shooting support.
- Supervise small groups of personnel involved in AFRC operations.
