Test Pilot

Who we are
Neros is transforming a defense industry mired in costly, behemoth machinery-to circumvent a looming vulnerability gap, to give dismounted soldiers a fighting chance against tanks, and ultimately, to get as many humans off the battlefield as possible.
While consumer technology is evolving by bounds on the smaller-cheaper-better path, U.S. defense technology wallows in the large, centralized, and wildly expensive paradigm. Our air, land, and sea machinery budget is staggering; yet these large assets can still be vulnerable to very small weapons. When swarm technology comes into its own, the asymmetry will escalate. Nowhere is the pattern more glaring than in small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS)-drones.
What you will be doing

This position involves a blend of R&D testing, flight operations, and product demonstrations, requiring strong technical expertise and exceptional piloting skills. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineers to refine UAV systems, execute test flights, and engage with customers about our products.

Collaborate with engineers on air and ground systems, assisting in design feedback, testing, and refinement.
Develop a deep understanding of system integration and functionality.

Flight Operations & Piloting:
Skilled flying LOS
Adapting well to uncomfortable situations/performing under pressure
Part 107

Product Demonstrations & Customer Engagement:
Represent Neros at industry events, product demonstrations, and trade shows.
Clearly explain product features and capabilities.
Maintain a professional and engaging presence while interacting with clients.
Be available for travel (up to one week per month).
Qualifications
Strong technical understanding of UAV systems (both air and ground components).
Expert-level FPV drone piloting skills with a track record of safe and precise flying.
Experience troubleshooting FPV drones and diagnosing system issues.
Proficiency in safety and risk assessment.
Mechanical assembly experience, including hands-on work with UAV components.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems and how they integrate into UAV platforms.
