Arch Aerial LLC is seeking a highly motivated Junior UAS Pilot (Drone Pilot) to create and collect both captivating content and high utility industrial inspection data (for our construction and energy service lines). This is a full time hourly position which can expect 35-45 hours per week. Functions & Responsibilities Execute scheduled UAS (unmanned aerial systems) missions for Arch Aerial LLC, primarily in industrial settings. Duties and responsibilities include execution of UAS flights, data management, and data transfer. Must be familiar with multi-rotor UAS operation; fixed wing UAS operational experience is a plus. As this is an entry level Junior UAS Pilot role, previous professional UAS Pilot experience is not required, but is highly recommended. Whether a candidate has previous professional UAS Piloting experience or not, training will be conducted by Arch Aerial on Arch Aerial piloting, process, safety, and technical skills for all new hires. Workload will consist of roughly 35 - 45 hours of operation per week, with opportunities for overtime beyond 40 hours per week. What You Will Do: * Transport passengers to a variety of destinations, ensuring optimal safety and efficiency. * Determine the safest routes, analyzing flight plans and weather conditions before takeoff. * Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections of the aircraft. * Communicate flight details clearly to passengers, maintaining a high level of professionalism. * Ensure strict compliance with all safety procedures and regulations. * Perform ancillary duties as assigned, including updating navigation databases and restocking aircraft supplies to ensure seamless operational readiness for all flights. * Continuously enhance knowledge and skills by staying informed about the latest advancements in aircraft technology and broader industry changes. This is an open requisition in seeking potential sUAS Pilot candidates who are looking to grow within our company, as well as learn/expand their knowledge in the land surveying and inspection. This is a field position with some office work; the candidate will be working outside with Survey and Right-of-Way professionals and needs to be prepared to work in various weather and site conditions. Other duties include various field work/support, maintaining equipment (aircraft and accessories), communicating with FAA when applicable, completing various reports as well as other office work. • Serve as Pilot-in-Command and/or Visual Observer of the sUAS. • Operate Percheron aircraft safely and effectively in accordance with all Percheron policies and procedures. • Facilitate hazard identification and safety risk analysis. • Coordinate flight schedules, logistics, FAA airspace approvals, and maintenance. • Perform field maintenance and preventive maintenance on aircraft, sensors, and support equipment. • Plan and execute missions with various flight control software (DJI, Litchi, Pix4DCapture, Autopilot, Mission Planner etc.) • Process and check data captured (Pix4D, ArcMap, Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, etc.) • Upload captured data to the appropriate location on Client/Company FTP site • Other duties as assigned Requirements • FAA Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107) • Experience using autonomous flight/mission planning software • Approximately 200+ Flight hours of commercial UAS operations under Part 107 or equivalent hobby related experience • 18 years or older • Proficient in English language • Basic Microsoft Office and Adobe skills • Ability to travel in and out of state (usually 2-3 days, up to 3-4 weeks). • Ability to stand for long hours and move/lift up to 55 pounds may be necessary • Ability to walk/hike through rugged terrain is a requirement • Ability to work autonomously and to collaborate fully as a team player. • Ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills. • Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily. • Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted). • Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations and Company policies and procedures. • Other duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications and Skills • UAS systems and/or R/C model building experience is a plus • Knowledge of photography/videography and experience using a DSLR cameras and/or thermal cameras • Knowledge of aerial LiDAR • Knowledge of Photogrammetry • Experience towing a trailer • Experience driving a UTV in rugged terrain • Experience and/or knowledge of surveying
