Associates or Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management or a related field preferred. Previous Boeing aircraft operating experience preferred. Ability to successfully complete Kalitta Air's Captain upgrade program on one of the following airframes B747 or B777. The selected candidate will be a high energy, results-driven individual who will oversee the pilot parts management for all export affiliates parts. The role of the position is to ensure we are ordering and shipping the correct parts, in the correct quantities, at the correct time to our customers. The candidate for this position should have the ability to manage multiple issues and quickly adapt to changing business requirements. Full-time Description General Description This position serves as Pilot-in-Command and has responsibility for the safety of passengers and crew and the comfortable, timely operation of the aircraft. Supervises the flight crew and ensures that all flight and ground operations comply with FAA Regulations. Determines flight routes, speed, and take off and landing times to fulfill scheduling requirements. Makes decisions regarding possible delays, rerouting or flight cancellations. May perform other general department duties when not flying. This position is located in Traverse City, MI. The individuals selected for these positions must live within 2 hours of Traverse City, MI. As a pilot for Pentastar Aviation, crew members can expect to fly about 175 hours per year.
