Purpose of Position Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking qualified PIC candidates for a Falcon 8X aircraft based at White Plains, NY (KHPN). This is a 3- pilot account supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant flying part 91 & 135. In this role, you will be flying roughly 70% international; all throughout Europe and domestically to CO, CA, and FL. There is a well tenured and experienced Lead PIC on the account. The successful candidate for this position must be an excellent communicator, detail oriented, safety and service focused. In order to be considered for this position you must have Dassault experience with preference given to those are already typed in the Falcon 8X and live within the two hour radius to HPN. This is not a home based position, nor will relocation assistance be provided as part of the offer, therefore you must live within two hours or be willing to fully relocate yourself within 90 days. The Pilot in Command (PIC) holds final responsibility to ensure aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant and efficient manner. The PIC complies with all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience. Tasks and Responsibilities Ensures the Safe Operation of Flight: * Ensures crewing and trip assignments are compliant with company and regulatory requirements. * Completes flight planning, performance and weight and balance tasks for each assignment, as required. * Utilizes Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks. * Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel as required. Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy. * Completes all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including the maintenance status of the aircraft, to ensure the aircraft is mission capable. Records all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs. * Ensures all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are monitored and accomplished in accordance with SOPs. * Completes passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulation. Delivers the highest level of customer service and meet any special needs of passengers (e.g., physically challenged). * Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate with crew and support personnel clearly and in a timely manner during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations. Delivers an Exceptional Service Experience: * Provides quality service to owners and passengers while identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Regularly investigates and resolves service deviations. * Collaborates with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to provide consistent service experience to owners and passengers. Resolves conflict and challenges in an acceptable manner. Maintains Proficiency and Compliance: * Maintains regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience. * Complies with company SMS program and reports safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES The Assistant Chief Pilot will assist the Senior Chief Pilot with the hiring, onboarding, training, and oversight of the staff of flight instructors. Supervises flight instructors. WORKING CONDITIONS Most of the duties will be performed at Trenton-Mercer Airport. While work will include office responsibilities, applicants will need to be able to access the cockpit of small aircraft and fly up to 3 hours at a time. Must be available to work one day each weekend. This role involves both indoor and outdoor activities, including flight training and aircraft inspections. (Please note that assigned tasks and responsibilities on both campuses is required for all MCCC positions and should be established with applicants) ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS (May vary depending on the position) Note: Please update in accordance with role/responsibilities Positions in this class typically require ability to use a key board, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Aviation, Aeronautics, or a related field from an accredited institution. One (1) year of work experience providing flight-training instruction at a Part 141 Pilot School. Must be able to fly a Cessna Skyhawk 172. FAA 3rd class medical (2nd class preferred) FAA Commercial or ATP certificate, Certified Flight Instructor (CFI, CFII), In addition Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) preferred. Teach aviation classes as an adjunct instructor as needed. Possess the following aeronautical experience: (1) At least 1,000 hours as pilot in command; and (2) Flight training experience, as acquired as either a certificated flight instructor or an instructor in a military pilot flight training program, or combination thereof, consisting of at least - (i) 1 ½ years and a total of 500 flight hours; or (ii) 750 flight hours. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS One (1) year of work experience teaching in a classroom environment. One (1) year of supervisory or management experience. Possess Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) certificate. FAA 2nd class medical. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Strong knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations, particularly Parts 61, 91, and 141. Knowledge of advanced avionics. Ability to evaluate student and instructor performance. Basic computer skills. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students. Promote a culture of safety within the aviation department.
