This position is for Wheelman looking to become a part time employee working as a Trip Pilot" As a Wheelman, you are responsible for managing the vessel, the vessel's personnel and all barges in tow. You will be responsible for all crew members and their adherence to all United States Coast Guard regulations and company policies. You will be expected to navigate the vessel in a safe manner and ensure safety rules are followed by everyone. You will be reporting to the Captain of the vessel and the shoreside vessel operations group. Applicant must hold a Master or Mate of Towing Vessels on Inland Waters and Western Rivers. Responsibilities Basic Functions: 1. As a supervisor you will be responsible for training the crew on how to perform their job in a safe manor. 2. Arch Aerial LLC is seeking a highly motivated Junior UAS Pilot (Drone Pilot) to create and collect both captivating content and high utility industrial inspection data (for our construction and energy service lines). This is a full time hourly position which can expect 35-45 hours per week. Functions & Responsibilities Execute scheduled UAS (unmanned aerial systems) missions for Arch Aerial LLC, primarily in industrial settings. Duties and responsibilities include execution of UAS flights, data management, and data transfer. Must be familiar with multi-rotor UAS operation; fixed wing UAS operational experience is a plus. As this is an entry level Junior UAS Pilot role, previous professional UAS Pilot experience is not required, but is highly recommended. Acts as Officer on Watch (OOW) and as second in command of the tug and barge. Must be able to understand and carry out the orders and directions of the Captain. Must be prepared to assume command in the event of incapacity of the Captain. Responsible for safely making and breaking tow with barges, transit locks and bridges during High and low water conditions. Responsible for maintenance and cleanliness of the vessel. This is an open requisition in seeking potential sUAS Pilot candidates who are looking to grow within our company, as well as learn/expand their knowledge in the land surveying and inspection. This is a field position with some office work; the candidate will be working outside with Survey and Right-of-Way professionals and needs to be prepared to work in various weather and site conditions. Other duties include various field work/support, maintaining equipment (aircraft and accessories), communicating with FAA when applicable, completing various reports as well as other office work. • Serve as Pilot-in-Command and/or Visual Observer of the sUAS. • Operate Percheron aircraft safely and effectively in accordance with all Percheron policies and procedures. • Facilitate hazard identification and safety risk analysis. • Coordinate flight schedules, logistics, FAA airspace approvals, and maintenance. • Perform field maintenance and preventive maintenance on aircraft, sensors, and support equipment. • Plan and execute missions with various flight control software (DJI, Litchi, Pix4DCapture, Autopilot, Mission Planner etc.) • Process and check data captured (Pix4D, ArcMap, Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, etc.) • Upload captured data to the appropriate location on Client/Company FTP site • Other duties as assigned Requirements • FAA Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107) • Experience using autonomous flight/mission planning software • Approximately 200+ Flight hours of commercial UAS operations under Part 107 or equivalent hobby related experience • 18 years or older • Proficient in English language • Basic Microsoft Office and Adobe skills • Ability to travel in and out of state (usually 2-3 days, up to 3-4 weeks). • Ability to stand for long hours and move/lift up to 55 pounds may be necessary • Ability to walk/hike through rugged terrain is a requirement • Ability to work autonomously and to collaborate fully as a team player. • Ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills. • Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily. • Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted). • Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations and Company policies and procedures. • Other duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications and Skills • UAS systems and/or R/C model building experience is a plus • Knowledge of photography/videography and experience using a DSLR cameras and/or thermal cameras • Knowledge of aerial LiDAR • Knowledge of Photogrammetry • Experience towing a trailer • Experience driving a UTV in rugged terrain • Experience and/or knowledge of surveying
