This role includes both direct billable client work (project work) and project management support for projects. The incumbent is expected to lead discipline specific work for projects, perform responsible charge engineering duties, and manage project schedules and budgets. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under minimum supervision in the area of power delivery and structural engineering, the incumbent will provide: Experience and expertise in the identification, analysis, and resolution of engineering, technical and design problems. Effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities. Thorough, timely, and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches. Should be able to understand and create substation civil-structural drawing packages (foundations, structural steel, bus and cable) utilizing national code, industry standards and best practices. Champion the company's goals and represent the company positively and professionally. Interact with customer's internal engineers and technical personnel on a day-to-day basis. Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers. Monitor deliverables, schedules, and present solutions to the client. Perform other duties as assigned by management. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Required A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or University in Civil Engineering. Required Engineering Degree awarded from a College of University that is accredited by ABET. Experience 5-7 Year(s) Experience as an Engineer with the electrical industry in the field of power delivery. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Professional Engineering (PE) license or the ability to be licensed within a year. Ability to read, understand and create a civil engineering drawing package associated with the physical layout of a substation, specific to the creation of foundation and structure designs. You will collaborate with technical and business teams to understand requirements, analyze current infrastructure, and recommend cloud solutions that align with organizational goals. Responsibilities + Design and Develop Architectures: Create cloud-based architectures that meet technical and business requirements. + Cloud Migration Strategies: Collaborate with technical teams to develop migration strategies and plans. + Implementation Support: Provide guidance and support during the implementation of cloud solutions. + Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation, including architecture diagrams, policies, procedures, and training materials. + Vendor Collaboration: Work with vendors and partners to identify suitable cloud-based solutions. + Security Management: Identify and address security risks to ensure a secure cloud infrastructure. + Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency. + Issue Resolution: Collaborate with technical teams to resolve issues and ensure high availability and reliability. + Technology Updates: Stay up-to-date with cloud technologies and recommend infrastructure improvements. + Alignment with Goals: Ensure cloud-based solutions align with organizational objectives through collaboration with technical and business teams. Requirements + Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. + Experience: Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or in a similar role. + Knowledge: In-depth understanding of cloud-based technologies and architectures. + Infrastructure Experience: Familiarity with cloud infrastructures such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. + Methodologies: Knowledge of DevOps and Agile methodologies.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. + Excellent communication and collaboration skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. + Certifications: Professional certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect, are desirable.
