The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. 2. Maintains and generates transactions in the SAP environment and handles damaged / shortages / excess / or missing orders following the Materials Damages & Claim Procedure.
3. Removes the samples to be used for analysis of raw materials and packaging components received and the samples used for re-evaluation of the existing materials.
4. Stores materials as per applicable status, according to the current GMP's and keeps working areas clean and organized.
5. Transfer material from warehouse to Production lines and / or receive back-to-stock materials from / to the warehouse following the current procedure.
6. Keeps data in the inventory control systems (manual and /or computerized) update and accurate, including the freight containers inventory. Participates in Cycle Counting process as per Inventory Control Procedure. Prepares physically materials for shipment and ensure that materials are correctly picked for shipping, as per their applicable status and according to the current GMP's and loading of trucks.
7. Operates and maintains the warehouse equipment (Radios, Forklift, etc).
8. Handles and disposes properly rejected material, dangerous goods, potentially dangerous goods and regulated hazardous waste into a designated on-site disposal facility of interim container.

Summary
The Distribution Center Associate is responsible for signing for deliveries, checking in and putting away product, picking material for outgoing orders, and packing orders for delivery. Will be responsible for safely operating various types of material handling equipment and tools.
What You'll Do

* Receive material coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other distribution centers
* Verify the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list
* Prepare a receiving report if none is available
* Assemble and fill orders to be shipped to customers or branches
* Load common carrier and company vehicles
* Process paperwork regarding UPS shipments including: verifying that the merchandise to be shipped is correct, applying the correct UPS postage tape, following customer shipping instructions and insuring the shipment when necessary
* Pack each order into a container and arrange the container onto a shelf according to truck route
* Gather assembled orders that are in carts and verify their quantities and descriptions against the invoice
* General maintenance of the distribution center; sweeping and disposing of trash/cardboard

At Chesterton, we have a laser focus on our customers. The Component Picker/Packer supports our customers by correctly picking components used in our mechanical seal assemblies and then packaging the completed seal assemblies for our customers.
Job Model: On-Site
All fully remote positions will require you to travel on site 2-4 times per month depending upon business needs at your own expense.
