The largest of MSK's clinical departments, the Department of Medicine (DoM) encompasses experts in solid tumor oncology, hematologic malignancies, subspecialty medicine and supportive and acute care services. Offering a range of services both in multiple sites in New York City and at their suburban outpatient locations in our Regional Care Network (RCN), DoM physicians oversee the care of the whole patient. The Melanoma Service in the Division of Solid Tumor Oncology, Department of Medicine, is seeking a full-time Clinician Researcher at the Assistant Attending level or higher focused on the care of patients, education and research at our New York City and Long Island Regional Network locations (Commack and/or Nassau). The Melanoma Service has an interest in the multidisciplinary care for patients with all Melanoma entities. The responsibilities will include clinical expertise in patient care, clinical research, and teaching/ training. For this position, candidates should have superb clinical and interpersonal skills, and be a highly motivated, empathetic, team player. Prior experience in melanoma clinical care and research is welcome but not required.

Provide therapeutic interventions (e.g., IV fluids, IV/IM/PO medications),
Coordinate testing and follow-ups.
Integrate patient goals into care plans, including palliative principles.
Educate patient on topics such as disease process, medication, and compliance
Communicate with referring clinicians and ensure transition of care post-visit.
Support clinical guidelines, pathways, and quality initiatives.
