Job Description
This Position is Contingent on Contract Award.
This position is in support of a proposed repatriation initiative. The purpose of the facilities is to provide comprehensive care for migrant individuals who are awaiting reunification or repatriation. This care will begin as soon as each occupant arrives at the facility and will last until their arranged departure. The comprehensive care includes but is not limited to initial screening and exams, identifications of prior conditions and allergies, day to day care of routine, urgent and emergency medical conditions.
The Pharmacist Assesses, evaluates, manages and assists with medication therapies for patients for various medical problems on an outpatient and emergent basis. Doctorate degree practitioners may be credentialed for independent prescriptive authority in accordance with regulations of this contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Assists all practitioners with medication information.
May sit on other healthcare, policy, and administrative committees as determined by CMO.
Maintains unsupervised key access to the Pharmacy and all stocked medications and is the immediate supervisor for all personnel with job access to the pharmacy.
Maintains healthcare formulary, formulary stock, prescription records, and is responsible for all legend and controlled medications within the pharmacy.
Responsible for compliance with all regulations (DEA, FDA, DOD) governing medication procurement, storage, distribution and use within the program.
Reviews and updates departmental directives and supervising policies for medication procurement, storage, distribution and use within to ensure regulatory compliance.
Oversees and responds to monthly audit of medications per PWS requirements.
Maintains regulatory required records for procurement, storage, distribution and use of all legend and controlled medications within the facility
Inspects medication stock and medication use outside of the Pharmacy per departmental directives.
Reports all instances of regulatory non-compliance to the CMO.
Oversees medication ordering to maintain appropriate stock levels while not exceeding budget limits.
Oversees expired medication returns to maximize credit value.
Performs medication reconciliation upon entry and discharge from the acute care setting.
Performs other duties as required in accordance with privileges granted by the CMO. Credentials Committee and assumes other responsibilities and duties as assigned by CMO.
Participates actively with quality assurance and process improvement as required.
Provides active participation on multi-disciplinary hospital committees as assigned.
Participates with administrative projects as delegated or as approved by hospital leadership.

Qualifications
Experience Required:
Three (3) years of experience as a pharmacist preferred.
Experience with vaccination administration programs preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records.
Education Required:
Current and unrestricted license and registration to practice in the State of Service.
Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) or a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharm).
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
Proficiency in both English and Spanish is preferred.
