Perform sterile compounding for an operation compounding approximately 10,000 doses per month. Therapies include total parenteral nutrition, antibiotics, chemotherapy, antiemetics, immunoglobulins, pain management, and other miscellaneous therapies.
Prepare and stage items for compounding and appropriately label completed items.
Order, receive, and restock all related medications and supplies used in the compounding process.
Participate in quality assurance and environmental monitoring programs.
Participate on committees within the organization.
Clean room/compounding experience preferred, not required
Experience:
1+ years of previous hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred but not required.

* Enter prescription information including but not limited to: patient searches, prescriber searches, drug selection, prescription interpretation, insurance billing, and basic documentation.
* Accept customer and prescription information required to process new and refill prescriptions, including refill authorization from doctor offices.

* Create prescription labels and put them on prescription containers.
