Licensed by the state(s) in which they practice.
Knowledgeable about the legal responsibilities of the consultant pharmacist to the nursing facility and its residents, including all state and federal laws and regulations governing pharmacy services and the operation of nursing facilities.
Maintain minimum required continuing education hours established by state board of pharmacy.
Mix of remote and on-site work
Travel to and from facilities within your state is required for on-site days. (Overnight stays are not typically required.)
Flexible schedule with ability to help determine your schedule.

Summary Description
Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist and according to established policies and procedures, assists the Pharmacist in the efficient and accurate preparation, dispensing and delivery of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
Under general supervision, consults with medical staff, nurses and other healthcare providers to coordinate the delivery of pharmaceuticals to patients.

Minimum Qualifications

Skills Required
1. Mathematical ability to perform calculations requiring knowledge of metric system.
