The Pharmacist Intern performs a wide verity of technical and clerical duties for the hospital wide unit-dose drug distrubution system and intravenous admixture program. Responsible for maintaing confidential reports, entering, and retrieving data utilizing the computer system, preparing intravenous medication, including but not limited to, hyperalimentations and antibiotics, prefilling patient casette drawers with a 24 hr supply of unit dose medications, procuring and filling requests for pharmaceutical supplies, and delivering supplies to nursing units. This position will evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, route of administration and stability. EOE, DFWP - We honor those who serve. Essential Functions: This position will make recommendations for therapy changes to the physician and facility staff. Works with patient medical information to conduct Drug Utilization Review (DUR) on all prescriptions and review clinical edits to ensure there is no adverse drug interaction. The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$172,000.00* * This pay range is for a 40 hours/week schedule.
