This role is in-person in a pharmacy embedded in a primary care clinic. The Pharmacy Technician will be required to be on their feet, handle multiple tasks as needed to fulfill medication orders and answer patients questions in person and over the phone. Location: This is an onsite role. 876 Saxon Blvd. Orange City, FL 32763 Shift: Monday - Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM The Pharmacy Technician 2: Retrieves, counts, and measures drugs. Develops and maintains working relationships with clinic staff and with patients. Assists Pharmacist in price-checking and restocking of drugs. Accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from computer. Performs simple calculations for days supply and insulin dosage. Refers physicians' calls and any medical questions to pharmacist. Operates a cash register and handles cash. Decisions are typically focused on interpretation of department policy and methods for completing assignments. The Pharmacy Technician 2 works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization and timing, and works under minimal direction. The Pharmacy Technician 2 follows standard policies and practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion. Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications 2+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience Must have an active Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Florida Must have National Certification (PTCB), or the ability to obtain within the first 6 months of hire This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB. Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to meet the frequent requirement to walk Ability to meet the frequent requirement to reach with hands and arms Ability to meet the frequent requirement to bend Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
