    University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Department\: Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Department of Clinical Pharmacy Job Title\: Clinical Pharmacist, Oncology (Assistant to Associate Professor; Regular or Clinical Teaching Track) Position #00824510 - Requisition #34071 Job Summary: This faculty member in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy will practice as a member of the multidisciplinary teams at the Anschutz Outpatient Cancer Pavilion of the University of Colorado Cancer Center (UCCC). The UCCC is located on the Anschutz Medical Campus of the University of Colorado in Aurora, Colorado. The UCCC is affiliated with the UCHealth system and is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in Colorado. This faculty member will have clinical responsibilities (30% time) primarily focused in either Neurologic, Breast, or Hematology clinics (specific practice site will be determined by the time applicant screening for this position begins). Faculty in this setting provide a variety of clinical services including provision of drug information and provider education, supportive care management, drug counseling on anticancer treatment and investigational agents, medication review and toxicity monitoring for patients enrolled in clinical trials, and support for UCHealth P&T and Specialty Pharmacy initiatives. In addition to clinical practice, the successful candidate for this position will have academic responsibilities in the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (70% time). These responsibilities will include engagement in teaching/education, scholarship, and service. The faculty member will play an active role in the education of pharmacy students and residents through didactic and experiential training. Successful candidates for this position are expected to teach in the Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum in required and elective courses and to serve as director for one or more courses. This faculty member will also be expected to actively participate in the precepting of PharmD students, PGY1 Pharmacy Residents, and PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residents. In addition, successful candidates for this position are expected to engage in scholarly activities in support of their clinical and teaching efforts and to help document the value of clinical pharmacy services and improvements in patient care and outcomes in the UCCC. Finally, this faculty member will provide service to the school and the pharmacy profession and pursue endeavors that advance their professional development as an academician. Key Responsibilities: Provide exemplary clinical care services in the area of oncology. Provide quality educational services in the School of Pharmacy Doctor of Pharmacy program. Teaching includes didactic teaching (lectures and active learning), precepting experiential students, and mentoring and advising students. Serve as director or co-director for one or more courses in the Doctor of Pharmacy program. Actively participate in the training of PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents, including PGY2 Oncology residents. Develop a program of scholarly/creative work focused on a specific area of educational and/or clinical research.
