Job Brief: PH Pets Services, Inc is looking for pet lovers that are interested in walking dogs to match with our various clients across the states. This could be a full or part time depending on your availability for the following shifts: Mornings, afternoons and Evenings only. Pet visits are 25-30 minutes long, and will be within 5 miles from where you live. Pay range is between $16 to $18 per 20 - 30 min pet sit. You get an additional $5 per pet over if a client has more than 1 pet. We also pay for client meetings and key trips. There is a $10 surcharge per pet sit if you'd like to work on holidays and an additional $1 per mile if your assignment is further than 5 miles from where you live. So on average, you make about $16 - $20 or more per 25 - 30 minutes pet sit. Ideally, this schedule is flexible to fit your availability, so it will allow you work according to your convenience since we don't do job sharing. Our goal is to provide you with pet sitting jobs that are close to your house and will require a minimal commute. We look to build a cordial relationships with all our employees, so we'll tailor your workload to fit your schedule and make it convenient for you to juggle all your other activities. NOTE: This position is only available to individuals that have USA employment eligibility.

This position is responsible for leading our Obedience Training Programs. This includes hands-on training with both customers and their pets to teach basic obedience commands in a class environment. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)** + Maintain regular and predictable attendance. + Work scheduled shifts and have the ability to work varied hours, days, nights, weekends and overtime as dictated by business needs. + Take the initiative to support selling initiatives (TEAM): + Thank the Customer + Engage with the customer and/or pet + Advise products or services + Make it Memorable + Create a positive, professional, and trusting environment for all valued associates and the customers and pets served. + Answers phone and schedules obedience classes. Be present in the store and available to discuss our obedience program to all customers + Advise obedience customers in the purchase of product appropriate, necessary to attend obedience classes and at-home positive reinforcement training + Follow the Petsense obedience training procedures as outlined in the Obedience training documents and videos. + Train the customer and their dogs with patience, consistency and sensitivity to the customers' needs and the role they play in training their dog. + Adhere to customer specific needs and desires in training their dog + Talk to dog or use other non-physical techniques to keep the dog calm and in the trainer and customer's control + Report all accidents and injuries to the Store Manager promptly + Properly and completely fill out required obedience training forms as applies to the program + Observe all safety rules and procedures and adhere to safety standards + Adhere to cleanliness standards, to include, sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning of the area(s) the customers and their pets are trained + Team Members are required to perform a combination of the following duties during 95 percent of their day. Although the mix may vary from one day to another, our business and staffing model makes it essential that every Associate be able to perform all of the following duties accurately, efficiently and safely on a regular basis and without advance notice: + Operate cash register/computer following cash handling procedures as established by Tractor Supply/Petsense Company + Recovery of merchandise + Participate in mandatory freight process + Complete Plan-o-gram procedures (merchandising, sets, and resets) + Assemble merchandise + Perform janitorial duties + Execute price changes/markdowns + Assist customers with loading purchases + Ensure the safety and well-being of live animals. Sanitize and maintain holding tanks and care for live animals as required + Complete all documentation associated with any of the above job duties + Team Members also may be required to perform other duties as assigned. **Required Qualifications** Experience: Minimum of 1-year experience training pets. Must be comfortable working with dogs. Retail experience and/or pet/live animal knowledge is strongly preferred. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered. Alert manager when levels of inventory are low in the following areas: Pet foods Cleaning products for kenneling and lobby areas. Help maintain the cleanliness of the property by picking up and disposing of trash or debris. Keep aisles, drains, carts, shelves, sinks, floors, furniture, counters and glass clean, sanitary and free of clutter/debris. Empty and sanitize trash cans and receptacles. Alert manager of any safety or operational issues ie: broken guillotine doors, burnt-out lights, not enough salt for snowy areas, etc. Keep informed of important notices, meetings, etc. by consulting the "Guest Services Command Center" . Consult with other departments. Work with a team who all exemplify these qualities: A passion for animals and animal care, especially dogs and cats. Responsibilities: Ensure that each guest is treated with respect and dignity Ensure that all guests are receiving appropriate amounts of food and water, clean and sanitize food/water bowls on a daily basis. Clean up dog poop, urination and any vomit several times throughout your shift Walk dogs on leash to and from outside exercise areas. Engage in play activities with pets including: fetch, exercise walks, chase, agility, follow the leader, recall and basic obedience games, etc. Supervise activities of multiple dogs throughout the day Monitor closely for any potential conflicts or escalations and redirect or remove one or more dogs from the situation as needed Maintain a sanitary and healthy environment by following our standards of cleaning and disinfecting rooms Monitor guest's health by daily charting of eating and elimination habits. Dispose of and clean up any stool and urine. Monitor guest's reaction to playtimes and general demeanor by charting playtime interactions Follow all standards of safety with regards to handling guests, particularly aggressive guests and escape artists Pay specific attention to special handling notes, (Meds Person to Feed, Aggressive, Separate for Feeding, etc.) Immediately alert front staff and resort manager when a guest is ill or exhibiting odd behavior - follow-up by filling out illness form and turning it into a shift lead/manager. Operate washer and dryer to clean pet belongings, towels, etc. Ensure belongings are returned to the appropriate pet. Ensure the facility meets or exceeds our expectations with regards to cleanliness and safety. Clean and sanitize all pet enclosures, exercise yards, and common areas.Mix and use disinfectants and other chemicals safely as instructed by the supervisor. Ensure that the property is maintained (lawn care, snow removal, tree maintenance) Alert manager when levels of inventory are low in the following areas: Pet foods Cleaning products for kenneling and lobby areas Help maintain the cleanliness of the property by picking up and disposing of trash or debris. Keep aisles, drains, carts, shelves, sinks, floors, furniture, counters and glass clean, sanitary and free of clutter/debris. Empty and sanitize trash cans and receptacles. Alert manager of any safety or operational issues ie: broken guillotine doors, burnt-out lights, not enough salt for snowy areas, etc. Keep informed of important notices, meetings, etc. by consulting the "Guest Services Command Center" Consult with other departments Work with a team who all exemplify these qualities: A passion for animals and animal care, especially dogs + cats.
