Pella Corporation was founded in 1925 as the Rolscreen Company. Initially, their company was most widely known for its “disappearing” Rolscreen window screen. Updated in its design and still popular today, the patented Rolscreen rolls out of sight when you don't need it. Pella patio doors and storm doors also offer their Rolscreen technology. In 1992, their company changed its name to Pella Corporation, to better reflect their entire product offering. Today, the Pella family of brands offers a full range of quality residential and commercial products for new construction, remodeling and replacement projects. They are particularly proud that they can offer their customers windows and doors to meet virtually any style or budget.
The staff at Pella come from unusually diverse demographic backgrounds. The company is 39.0% female and 26.2% ethnic minorities. Despite its diversity in other areas, Pella employees are noticeably lacking in political diversity. It has an unusually high proportion of employees who are members of the Republican Party, at 67.0%. Employees seem to enjoy working in an otherwise diverse workplace that is dominated by members of the Republican Party. Pella has great employee retention with staff members usually staying with the company for 5.2 years. The average employee at Pella makes $53,441 per year, which is competitive for its industry and location. Some of its highest paying competitors, Traco, Mansfield Plumbing Products, and Northern Contours, pay $56,094, $55,151, and $54,110, respectively.
A large construction company with 7,000 employees and an annual revenue of $2.0B, Pella is headquartered in Iowa.

Pros of working at Pella

Hours

Cons of working at Pella

Pella is a horrible place to work. Management has no idea from one person to the next rules of the company. No employee handbook to provide. When inquiring about handbook you are told we will get you one or go check on line and see if it's on there. Racist comments are made by Management. Checks are to be direct deposit and some weeks it's on different days. There are no direct numbers to managers or HR personnel. If you are given a number the voice mail is full and stays that way for weeks. Inconsistencies with job duties. This factory is deplorable

Pella Benefits

If they offer perks or benefits it is nor disclosed to employees in orientation or training. Your told someone will be in at a later time to discuss this. Months later no one has been in to discuss anything
