Job Overview
Impact Advisors is seeking a dynamic and motivated Payroll Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Ensure timely and accurate processing of semi-monthly payroll, including managing and uploading support data.
Prepare manual payroll runs as necessary.
Work with ADP to reconcile and file all federal, state, and local payroll tax forms.
Ensure appropriate records are maintained and in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
Maintain, update and audit payroll and employee records for new hires, terminations, garnishments, levies and company and employee directed changes as necessary.
Investigate and resolve any payroll issues.
Manage workers compensation claims and annual insurance audit.
Serve as the primary contact for inquiries from employees and third-party vendors, always exhibiting excellent customer service.
Ensure accurate payroll and 401(k) funding.
Manage 401(k) compliance and annual audit, disbursement requests, and ER match.
Understand and track sick time by state based on state specific requirements for contracted employees.
Assist with the maintenance of time and attendance system.
Complete annual ACA filings.
Calculate and track total benefit cost by employee to be used for margin reporting.
Keep track of various bonus plans and progress towards targets.
Provide back up and support for other members of the accounting team, including reporting functions.
Qualifications
Experience with ADP Workforce Now required.

Payroll Manager Role and Responsibilities:
Collect and organize all underlying data necessary for the calculation and processing of payroll.

BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Payroll Manager, responsible for the timely and accurate production of the bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and student payrolls.
