Eagle Ford Overview
The liquids-rich Eagle Ford tight oil trend, located in the Western Gulf Coast Basin of south Texas, represents the company's second-most prolific unconventional resource development. ConocoPhillips was one of the first companies into the liquids play, resulting in a low-cost entry into this acreage. In 2009, the company began exploring the development potential of this play and by year-end 2023 held approximately 199,000 net unconventional leasehold and mineral acres, primarily in DeWitt, Karnes and Live Oak counties.
During 2023, 123 operated wells were brought online, bringing total wells online at year-end to more than 1,700. Net production in 2023 averaged 226 MBOED.
Position Overview
If you are selected as the Mainline - Field Operator, you will be responsible for the operation of designated central facilities including but not limited to monitoring and optimizing production and cost.
This is a Safety Sensitive position.
Your responsibilities may include:
Follows all ConocoPhillips Health, Safety, & Environmental (HSE), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Process Safety Management (PSM) rules
Responsible for starting up and shutting down central facilities under normal conditions as well as under emergency conditions
Responsible for trouble-shooting operations problems, housekeeping and record keeping
Monitor central facility performance data through Cygnet
Gauge tanks for comparison and verification of level indications readings into the control room
Maintain chemical injection rates as necessary
Work well with all groups within the Eagle Ford Operations and 3rd party truck hauling partners
Handover processes and pre-startup safety review (PSSR)/commissioning of new equipment and facilities as needed
Assist with enforcing proper policies and procedures
Operating a company-provided vehicle to perform job duties
Basic/Required:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Current/Valid Driver's License
3 or more years of experience in unconventional field operations
Beginner knowledge of gas compression principles and practices
Beginner knowledge of dehydration principles and practices
Beginner knowledge of gas and liquid measurement
Beginner knowledge of mechanics and instrumentation
