Instructional Duties and Responsibilities (includes but are not limited to): * Teach clinical tasks inclusive of taking vital signs, collecting patient medical history, and preparing patients for examinations; * Instruct students in providing adequate assistance to healthcare professionals as it pertains to healthcare procedures and treatments; * Provide instruction in presenting patient education as it pertains to medical conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care; * Provide instruction in performing basic laboratory tests and handling specimens; * Provide instruction in compliance with infection control protocols in maintaining a clean and organized health care setting; * Utilize classroom and lab instruction, student assessment mechanisms, and classroom management techniques to provide an engaged classroom experience to students; * Ensure that each student has been presented with the material to successfully meet the learning objectives of each course within a student's program of study; * Ensure that instructional materials and equipment are ready for student use, sufficient in quantity, are properly maintained, and are in working order prior to class time; and * Manage and facilitate clinical instruction through local healthcare providers. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Job Requirements: * Current EMT, Paramedic, and/or Nurse certification * Vast Knowledge of HIPPA rules and regulations * Proven experience working in a clinical setting with diverse patient populations * Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written * Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment * Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation * Compassionate demeanor and ability to provide exceptional patient care * Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word proficiency * Punctual, reliable, and a collaborative team player * Ability to work independently when required Preferred (but not required): * Teaching experience in a health-related field * Certification as a BLS, ACLS, PALS Instructor (Training available for the right candidate) * Certified EMS Instructor (Training available for the right candidate) Salary: Commensurate with educational experience.
