Where You Will Work
Our Henderson mine and mill are an hour drive apart - separated by the Continental Divide and a 15-mile conveyor system (10 miles underground). The Henderson mine is an underground molybdenum mining operation located approximately 42 miles west of Denver and 10 miles west of Empire. It has been in operation since 1976 and today consists of a large block-cave, underground mining complex feeding a concentrator with a current capacity of approximately 32,000 metric tons per day. It can produce approximately 15 million pounds of molybdenum per year. The Henderson mill is located 15 miles west of the mine, between Dillon and Kremmling.
Both sites are surrounded by US Forest Service land of the Arapaho National Forest, making it easy for our employees and their families to enjoy year-round hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing in the area. What You Will Do
* Safely perform duties related to the production of copper and/or molybdenum concentrates in the Mill at a skilled level.
* Complete duties within the Mill process which could include tasks within the following areas: fine crushing plant, COB, ball Mill, roughers, cleaners, flotation cells, moly plant, copper moly thickeners, tailing thickeners, and mill control room
* Take process readings and makes necessary process changes or adjustments
* Use electronic process monitoring system to monitor conveyor, plant systems and equipment
* Perform start-up and shut-down of plant or related systems
* Operate processing equipment and makes adjustments as needed; performs basic maintenance on processing equipment and reports maintenance issues
* May operate mobile equipment such as front-end loaders, forklifts, skid-steer loaders, and overhead cranes
* Perform area housekeeping duties and may perform work area and safety audits
* Perform other duties as required
What You Bring To Freeport
* Six (6) months of experience in Mill process operations
* Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety.
* Knowledge of the wet grind system and flow systems through mill and floatation area
* Knowledge of the filtering and drying process
* May be required to complete HAZMAT training as required by Department of Transportation regulations
* Knowledge of placard system to accurately identify hazardous materials
* Knowledge of environmental policies and responsible for reporting any issues and/or concerns

POSITION SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Guest service position: People skills are a must!
Move the herd from pasture to barn and back.
Groom horses.
Saddle and bridle horses.
Conduct supervised and instructional trail rides for all levels riders. Comfortable multitasking: riding a green horse, talking with and instructing guests on horsemanship and proper position.
Assist the Barn Management Team in teaching riding lessons, horsemanship clinics, and trail obstacle clinics for all levels of riders.
Maintain the tack room, tack and equipment in a clean and orderly manner. Repair riding equipment and gear such as saddles, stirrups, and bridles.
Perform general maintenance around barns and corrals.
