Provides professional patient care and transportation in accordance with all departmental and St. Joseph Health System operating policies, city and state laws, and applicable contracts.

5. Transfer the patient to the appropriate facility and health care provider giving complete/accurate verbal patient care report.
6. Record keeping and data collection: neatly and accurately completes written and electrical Patient Care Reports (ePCR).
7. Patient Advocacy: assist patient with special concerns that will need to be brought to hospital personnel's attention (i.e. geriatric patient who may require additional home care).
8. Completes daily equipment checks and maintenance: assures equipment readiness, including cleaning as needed or required, along with proficiency in equipment operation safely, repairs within scope of abilities, and reports deficiencies when noticed to supervisor and relief crew.
9. Assures geographic knowledge of service area (communities, towns, cities and counties), utilizing appropriate map/GPS reading skills.
10. Checks MediTech, HealthEMS and other information devices while on duty daily.
11. Drives vehicles safely and prudently, motor vehicle report (driving record) must be approved prior to employment and insurance eligibility must be obtained throughout employment.
12. Arrives for assignment and duties at appropriate time, working all locations assigned.
13. Level III requirements:
1. Have had no disciplinary issue (counseling) within the last 12 months.
2. Received a score of Meets Expectations or greater on the most recent Annual Performance Evaluation.
3. Has 1 year of experience in the St Joseph system operating as a PII.
4. Must meet a clinical and documentation "average" or better to apply.
5. Must participate in a PIII level special team (FTO, SCT, CP, etc) and meet all interdepartmental credentials and qualifications of that team.
6. Must actively participate in New Hire Academy and PII Academy.
7. Must actively participate in department CE.
8. Must actively participate in CQI-chart reviews.

Provides 24/7 365 emergent EMS response on the site.
Provide paramedicine pre-hospital support to patients within the site, outside the site, and during transfer to local higher levels of care.
Ambulance operations, EMS response and the subsequent support of the medical team within the clinic are the primary responsibilities
Assist medical providers with medical procedures and treatments as allowed within licensed scope of work.

Brazos County ESD No. 2 January 2024 Location: Bryan, Texas Part-Time Apparatus Operator / EMT-Paramedic $18.50/hour with TCDRS Retirement (7% employee contribution) Introduction: Brazos County ESD 2 is located northeast of Bryan covering 150 square miles of subdivisions, ranch-style residential and commercial/light industrial properties. The department is comprised of a full-time paid fire chief, 12 part-time personnel, and 25 volunteers operating two stations with a third station in the planning stage.
