I. Job Summary
The Commercial Transaction Paralegal will provide legal and administrative support to Senior Legal Counsel in South Florida, who has responsibility over commercial transactions/claims and litigation, environmental claims and litigation, intellectual property, and government affairs. Key Responsibilities:
Transcribe, format, edit, and proofread legal documents, including pleadings and subpoenas.
Schedule and coordinate court appearances, hearings, depositions, and attorney meetings.
Prepare and file pleadings with State and Federal Courts via e-filing systems.
Draft and summarize medical/billing records, depositions, and other case documents.
Manage cases from inception to completion, meeting all applicable deadlines.
Assist attorneys in trial and hearing preparation, including legal research and case analysis.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure professionalism in all client interactions.
Qualifications:
Experience:
2+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation preferred.
Strong familiarity with State and Federal Court e-filing systems.
Skills:
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well under pressure.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Desired Skills and Experience
Must Have:
Minimum of 2 years as Legal Secretary or Paralegal
Efiling, State/Federal experience (if no Federal they just need to be slightly familiar), calendaring, setting up and handling drafts
Billing experience is highly preferred but they are willing to train
Research experience - this is of HUGE importance
