Ensures that surfaces meet smoothness, level and shape requirements, using accepted methods and techniques. Prepares surfaces by methods such as smoothing with pumice and rottenstone; filling, shaping and leveling with metal and synthetic resins; and mixing and applying pre-coating agents such as picking and alkali compounds. Evens out dents out dents and scars by burning-in processes. The incumbent is responsible for utilizing a thorough knowledge of and compliance with applicable AOC and OSHA safety rules and regulations to ensure that work progresses in a safe manner and to initiate or take corrective action on unsafe conditions in managed areas. This is a contingent position based upon contract award What You'll Do As a Maintenance Painter, you will: Apply paint, wallpaper, and additional finishes to protect and decorate interior and exterior surfaces of buildings. Smooth and prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding and removing old paint. Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material. Mix colors and oils to obtain desired color or consistency. Maintain Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all installations and repairs meet or exceed the set standards. Facilitate Team Communication: Ensure clear and consistent communication within the team and with other project stakeholders to keep everyone informed and aligned on project goals and updates. Other duties as required Qualifications: 5+ Years proven experience as a painter. Good knowledge of commercial and construction painting techniques. Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns, etc.). Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders, etc. High School Diploma or GED: Required as a basic educational foundation. Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements. Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure. Clearance: Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required. Description: Performs surface preparation, treatment and painting of components, small aircraft surface areas, aircraft panels, support equipment, or other items as required. Demonstrated ability to precisely apply paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin, or other material using brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other devices. Masks and covers portions of surfaces not to be painted. Working knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques. Must be knowledgeable of military publications, microfilm, and diagrams. Ability to precisely apply vinyl graphics to multiple surfaces, including aircraft. **Minimum Qualifications:** + Minimum of three (3) years' experience as a paint technician to include painting, maintenance, and finish work. + Education requirement: High School diploma or GED + Experience with military rotary aviation preferred. Working knowledge of military + publications, drawings, blueprints, microfilm, diagrams and schematics are mandatory. **Security Clearance:** + Position requires the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance and maintain a favorable Tier 5 background investigation. **Preferred Qualifications:** + S-92, VH-92A, VH-3D, and VH-60N experience preferred.
