How You Will Make an Impact:
The Automotive Painter is responsible for painting and preparing trucks to customer specifications at a high level of skill and quality.

The Nuts and Bolts:
Ability to paint all of the following: Full Bodies, Any style chassis and cab, Trailer and Tractor
Ability to operate the following tools: Cup Gun, Pressure Pot, Plural System, Airless Sprayer
Responsible for spraying all colors as determined by work order/customer
Ability to read and interpret blue prints and work orders
Set up and preventative maintenance of tools and machines as necessary
Perform safety and quality checks
Work and adhere to all safety policies
Handle Hazardous Waste in accordance with legislated and company policies
Required Credentials:
Basic math, tape measurement and computer skills
Basic experience with paint tools
Able to understand and comprehend measurement
Able to read and interpret blueprints for special applications
Preferred Credentials(but not required):
Previous experience in manufacturing
Previous experience working on truck bodies

This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk or hear. Maintain painting and coating equipment, such as spray guns, air compressors, and mixing machines, ensuring they are clean and in good working condition.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment when necessary.
Coordination with Other Trades:
Work closely with other tradespeople, such as welders, fabricators, and construction workers, to ensure coating applications are completed on time and within specifications.

What is a Industrial Sandblaster/Painter?
The Industrial Sandblaster/Painter performs a variety of spray painting and sandblasting operations on the assigned product lines. This is a second shift position with hours from 3:30pm-1am Monday-Thursday and 3:30pm-7:30pm on Fridays. Training will be conducted during the 1
st
shift hours of Monday-Friday from 7am-3:30pm.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will be computer literate and one year industrial related painting / sandblasting experience preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities
Spray paint and sandblast products using appropriate equipment.
Inspect, test and/or evaluate all parts manufactured in the specific assembly area and perform quality related analysis.
Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of materials and inventory.
May track inventory or prepare other documentation on a computer.
Visually inspect product to insure it has not been damaged or has not deteriorated during handling, storage, packaging or shipping.
Perform routine preventative maintenance as required to maintain equipment in top operational order.
Effectively perform material handling activities such as crating, packing, shipping, receiving, picking, lifting, moving and using materials handling equipment when necessary. (such as: lift trucks, tow motors, cranes, high lifts, etc.)
Utilize small and large tools, hoists, dollies, and other devices when necessary.
Comply with all safety procedures in each area assigned, including but not limited to, wearing protective clothing, special handling of chemicals, special handling of product, safety/rescue equipment usage, etc.
Interact and communicate with all levels of employees within the Company, as well as suppliers, customers and peers effectively.
Comply with policies, procedures, standards and rules of the Company.
Maintain quality assurance policy consistent with ISO standards.
Maintain work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
Punctual, regular and consistent attendance. 15. Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Education
One year industrial related painting / sandblasting experience preferred. • Industrial and marine coatings experience using zinc, epoxy's and/or polyurethanes preferred. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications helpful. • Computer literate preferred. • Ability to handle non-routine, standard projects and tasks. • Able to read, write, and follow verbal instructions in Standard English.
Physical and Technical Environment
Must regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, using proper lifting techniques or other available resources such as lifting or moving equipment or help from another employee. • Specific vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. • Regularly required to walk or stand, bend or twist, climb, reach with hands or arms. • Must be medically approved to wear respirator protection, which may include being required to be clean-shaven for tight-fitting respirator use. • Exposure to paint fumes and dust within industrial size paint/sand booth. • Overtime required at periodic intervals to respond to project deadlines.
