Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for safe operation of all paint equipment and spray guns

Required Skills and Qualifications:

NIGHT SHIFT HOURS
Monday - Thursday, 7:30pm - 6:00am
The Powder Coater/Painter reads and interprets work orders and takes instructions from their direct supervisor. This position would be responsible for prepping and powder coating of components required in the manufacturing of products fabricated by the company. They would assist other manufacturing employees to ensure work orders are completed to meet the timelines set out by management. The quality of must meet predetermined and required specifications.
POSITION DUTIES AND PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clean and mask parts prior to painting, assure no weld splatter and laser oxide.
Operate or tend equipment to clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents or otherwise prepare items for application of paint coatings
Identify defects such as cracks, splits, poor welds for repair.
Clean and maintain painting and coating, ventilation, compressed air and personal protective equipment
Inspect part for paint defects and repair any defects before releasing part from area.
Learns and applies understanding of proper application of painting equipment used to do required work.
Operate or tend equipment to clean, degrease, pickle and etch metal and non-metal surfaces to prepare workpieces with desired surface characteristics
Operate spray equipment to build up worn or damaged parts or to bond protective or decorative coatings on various objects
Check proper thickness of plating using micrometers, calipers or other devices
May operate equipment to polish metallic surfaces of products
May tend ovens which cure metal coating.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
