This position matches paint and wallcoverings, makes on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc., prepares walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc. and applies paint to these surfaces. This position reads blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary. May perform touch-ups or coordinate large painting projects related to the construction industry as well as preforms other tasks as assigned. The Painter may be required to work nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as necessary and approved by supervisor.
