Qualifications Education Completion of a recognized painters' apprenticeship program; AND Experience Three (3) years of verifiable experience as a journey-level painter, performing work on interiors and exteriors of structures, industrial facilities or components, hospitals, street equipment, playground equipment, airfields streets and roads; AND License and Certification Possession and maintenance of a valid Class C California's Driver's License. Education Substitution Additional qualifying experience can be substituted for the apprenticeship on a year-for-year basis. Department-Specific Requirements: Some positions at the Airport Commission require twelve (12) months verifiable experience in painting Airfields, Highways and/or Roadways which require specialized skills and expertise in measuring and marking runways, taxiways, highways and/or roadways governed by Federal Laws and Regulations. Some positions at San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency require eighteen (18) months of traffic painting experience. Some positions may require travel to various locations outside of San Francisco. Candidates must be insurable under the Port's automobile liability insurance policy.
