The Painter Maintenance is responsible for painting items such as walls, ceilings, railings, decks, floors, roofs, window frames, doors, door frames, moldings, handrails, stairs, fire hydrants, gates, steps, stands, fences, carports, decking, equipment, ramps, towers, awnings, flagpoles, gutters, radiators, cabinets, bulletin boards, reflectors, kitchen cabinets, conduit, and other constructed or manufactured items.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Responsible for painting, maintenance, or repair, the interior and exterior of buildings, structures, and facilities painting different types of surfaces such as wood, drywall, plaster, metal, concrete, masonry, fiberglass, plastic and glass.
Tapes, flushes, repairs and applies texture, wallpaper and acoustic layers on a variety of surfaces.
Adjusts colors when necessary; utilizes enhanced finishing skills when appropriate.
Applies materials to new construction, existing, multi-story buildings, alterations and remodeling's.
Shall paint street and curb markings, special parking markings, road speed limits, caution lines, stop bars, yield lines and directional markings.
Perform wall to wall and entire ceiling painting on an “as needed basis” during change of occupancy maintenance; spot painting is prohibited.
Operates, cleans and maintains all painting equipment, including brush, roll, sprayers and electrostatic/pneumatic sprayers, pumps, etc. Safely stores and labels all materials.
Maintains appropriate service and repair records.
Reads and understands blueprints, work plans and maps.
Responsible for proper storage, disposal, and spill prevention of all hazardous waste IAW local, state and federal laws.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience.
Journeyman level Painter preferred.
Residential and commercial/industrial practices and processes of the painting trade; paints, varnishes, lacquers, enamels, epoxies, paint removers, and related materials, and of their properties and application; applicable code requirements; methods and practices followed in the maintenance of tools, machinery, and equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
Position duties may require working outside in the weather. Conditions may include rain, cold and/or heat.
Position may require working in high places such as scaffolding, ladders, man baskets, and/or cherry pickers.
May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance carrier.
Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.

JOB SUMMARY:
The primary function of the Body Shop Painter is to oversee and perform services as requested by customers in a superior manner and timely fashion.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises the care, storage and usage of all materials used in company painting processes in a safe and efficient manner. Maintains safety standards within all applicable governmental guidelines, including state fire and health codes, and federal OSHA guidelines.
Assists the Body Manager in maintaining all necessary documentation required by applicable government health and safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA guidelines.
Controls all inventory relating to the painting process, including ordering and pricing of materials.
Assists Body Shop Manager, Shop Foreman and Service Writer in estimating time and costs required to complete all painting proposals.
Receives repair order assignments from Body Shop Manager.
Supervises and/or performs work directed in repair order in a timely and thorough manner. Coordinates selection of colors and materials with customer and Body Shop Manager. Maintains superior standard of workmanship in all services performed.
Advises Body Shop Manager of any recommended changes in services ordered by customer.
Determines if any further servicing should be recommended to customer, and communicates such recommendations to the Body Shop Manager.
Maintains a level of training and experience with specialized materials, equipment, machinery, and painting techniques necessary for superior servicing of the customer's equipment. Attends training sessions as required from time to time by the Body Shop Manager.
Performs additional services required when any piece of equipment is returned by customer because of Painter's faulty workmanship.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent organization and communication skills
High school diploma or the equivalent
Ability to read, write and comprehend English instructions and information
Working knowledge of all aspects of painting body parts and bodies of vehicles, including hand and power tools
3 - 5 years experience as a vehicle painter or apprentice
Provide own tools
Valid driver's license
Ability to interpret vendor catalogs
Professional personal appearance
