Responsibilities: + Report to Body Shop Foreman or Body Shop Manager, and will be assigned duties on a daily basis. + Maintain Proficiency of 70% or better, billing a minimum of 5.6 hours per day. + Keep area safe and clean. + Follow all safety measures for personal and environment safety. + Wear all appropriate safety equipment (PPE) for each specific task; for eyes (goggles, face shields), hands (gloves), lungs (respiratory systems, dust masks), skin (protective suit). + Examine damaged vehicles and estimates of repair cost. Immediately report any hidden damage to supervisor. + Report any lost or broken parts to the supervisor. + Maintain all body shop equipment in good safe working condition. + Maintain spray booth and mixing equipment. Keep mixing room in good working condition. + Check body repairs before primer is applied. + Maintain a level of quality to industry standards. + Keep repaints to a minimum. + Must remove all dirt and runs from painted areas. + Clean paint areas, tools and equipment. + Mix and apply primers and sealers, sand and prep prime surfaces for finish paint applications + Keep production manager aware of status. + Clean grease and dirt from product. + Apply masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated. + Fill cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface. + Ability to multi-task under pressure. + Alert the production manager to any unusual problems and delays. + Must demonstrate positive corporate citizenship and the Rush Driving Principles. + Maintain safe work environment. + Maintain professional appearance. + As a condition of continued employment, the employee is required to exhibit positive corporate citizenship, with demonstrated ability to positively interact with others, follow required Company policies and procedures which include but are not limited to policies regarding conduct, record keeping, and safety.
