    Start to finish fire truck production. In the paint department, you could be bonding and metal finishing/grinding to get the body and smaller parts ready for paint, washing the trucks to get them ready for paint prep, prepping with taping parts off, spraying on primer, touch-up paint, grinding, and touching up parts that were painted incorrectly, or finish painting. We mentor entry-level candidates and have a good progression laid out within the shop based on your skill level. **Responsibilities** + Bonding and metal finishing/grinding to prepare parts for painting + Washing trucks for paint prep + Prepping with taping parts off + Spraying on primer and touch-up paint + Grinding and touching up incorrectly painted parts + Finish painting fire trucks **Essential Skills** + 6+ months manufacturing experience in paint, fabrication, automotive, or machining environments using tools like grinders or sprayers + Excellent attendance record (no terminations for attendance in the last 2 years) **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with sanding, painting, hand sanders, mechanical aptitude, paint prep, spray gun, industrial paint, and sandblasting + Previous paint experience masking, spraying, or prepping **Why Work Here?** When employees go direct, they receive a raise and three additional raises in their first year: one at 6 months, one in January, and one at the 12-month mark. POSITION SUMMARY: Applies coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings and other structures and covers interior walls of rooms with decorative wallpaper or fabric by performing the following duties.
