Qualifications and Education Requirements * Must have the ability to travel and work a 28 / 14 on and off hitch. * Must be able to live aboard dredge. * Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a painter, preferably industrial or maritime. * Must have the ability to multi-task and be of help to fellow crew mates. * Must be able to comply with our Drug & Alcohol testing procedures. * Must be able to work safely with the highest standards of quality. * Preferably, have a minimum of 3 years of experience working on a maritime vessel. PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS The employee must perform the job's essential functions with or without reasonable workplace accommodation. The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. In addition, the employee must also be capable of: * Walking, stepping, climbing, or otherwise moving from one location on the job site to another, which may be of varying heights and access parameters. * Standing, stooping, twisting, bending, crouching, kneeling, squatting, climbing, or sitting repetitively and/or for long periods of time. * Repetitive movements by feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands and back in performance of work. * Must be able to lift and carry 30lbs individually. Anything greater than 30lbs and up to 60lbs will require additional lifting means. * Must be able to push and pull at peak force of 150lbs. * Climbing stairs and/or vertical ladders of a height of 6ft or greater. * Working in confined work areas and/or elevated heights. * Adapting to temperature changes, outdoor conditions, and prolonged exposure to dusty, wet, or humid conditions, loud noises, and vibration. Summary/Objective: The Equipment Painter performs a combination of tasks, including but not limited to prepping, using a hand palm sander, grinding, cleaning surfaces for paint, taping, spraying primer, painting with a pressure pot painting system, inspecting finished product, and moving objects in/out of paint booth. Responsibilities: * Paint efficiently using a pressure pot painting system. * Skillfully apply body filler, fiberglass, and other materials for body repair * Sanding paint, filler, and rust areas to prepare the surface for primer. * Masking or taping around glass, decals, and other areas on equipment that are not supposed to be painted. * Cleaning the painting surface prior to painting and cleaning up overspray and other defects after painting * Preparing items to be painted, by sanding, grinding, and disassembling items by hand. * Work efficiently and safely while prepping and painting items outside and in the elements while properly maintain painting equipment. * Ability (or willing to learn) to fill in as a sandblaster as needed. * Assist other team members with their tasks as able. * Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
