KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Reflect Milgard's Quality Pillars in all painter duties. Adhere to safety policies and procedures related to all facets of job. Proper usage of personal protective equipment. Required to pass all respiratory requirements and PPE protection for painting in the spray booth. Previous liquid and or painting experience (1-2 years). Responsible for gun cleaning and performance, identify when the spray gun is not performing properly and be able to fix the problem or alert a senior Painter for help. Responsible for proper paint mixing to include proper mixing ratios and water addition based on climate levels. Responsible for understanding how to spray the paint with a proper fan and distance from product. Responsible for paint quality, with a focus on Paint thickness, adhesion and color matching. Sets-up and operates painting equipment in production area. Troubleshoots problem situations as appropriate. Makes recommendations and may assist in designing and manufacturing racks and fixtures used in painting processes in addition to areas for improvement.
