Job Summary
Proformance Builder Solutions is seeking a skilled Residential Painter to join our team and support our new construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and coatings to interior and exterior surfaces of newly built residential homes. This role requires a strong eye for detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results that meet builder and homeowner expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, caulking, patching, and priming.
Apply paints, stains, and coatings to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
Ensure proper coverage, uniformity, and finish quality according to project specifications.
Protect surrounding areas from paint spills, drips, and overspray using drop cloths, tape, and other protective measures.
Work efficiently to meet project timelines and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
Inspect finished work to ensure quality and adherence to builder and company standards.
Maintain painting equipment and tools, ensuring they are clean and in proper working order.
Follow safety guidelines, including the proper handling of materials and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Communicate effectively with site supervisors, builders, and team members to ensure smooth project execution.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience as a residential or new construction painter.
Strong knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing methods.
Ability to use various painting tools and equipment, including airless sprayers.
Understanding of safety procedures and proper handling of paints, solvents, and chemicals.
Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Physical ability to lift, carry, and move materials (up to 50 lbs) and work on ladders or scaffolding as needed.
Must have and maintain a clean drivers license.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
Must be punctual, dependable, and able to meet deadlines.

Job Overview

Removes graffiti using a variety of available products.
Installs and repairs wall coverings.
Operates, cleans, and maintains all painting equipment, including brushes, rolls, sprayers, and pumps.
Purchases and inventories equipment and supplies.
Estimates time and materials required.
Erects scaffolding and uses ladders as necessary in a manner consistent with safety codes.
Safely stores and labels all materials.
Adheres to state and local disposal requirements as it relates to hazardous materials handling.
Responds to routine and emergency calls for service and maintains a record of work completed in the work order system.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day painting needs of the facility while following safety requirements and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains paint on walls, doors, handrails, and trims (interior and exterior) of Convention Center, and Meeting Rooms (Including all drywall repairs, patching, sanding, and repainting) Maintains paint and repairs on exterior fixtures, trellis, and concrete.
Keeps inventory of paint and supplies.
Utilizes paint and materials necessary for the upkeep of the facility in accordance with MSDS.
Set up scaffolding and ladders using safe work procedures.
Ensures that all job assignments are completed as instructed.
Responsible for completion of assigned job unless released by supervisor.
Responsible for keeping the paint shop in clean and orderly and paints stored properly, clean tools, brushes, rollers, and sprayer.
Notifies Supervisor if equipment needs repair or supplies are low.
Follows facility dress code and grooming standards.
Follows established safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
Attends to and conforms to the policies established by SMG and the Convention Center Timely completion of assigned reactive and preventive maintenance work orders.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required in a team-oriented, can-do environment.

DUTIES:
In the Field Daily
Visit 4+ jobsites every day
Repair damage on the job site while using exceptional customer service to follow up with staff
Employ your creativity in several settings such as apartments, hotels, commercial buildings, and building sites
Customer Service and Communication
Use outstanding customer service to engage with staff and tenants
Keep progress up to date with notes and updates in our CRM/Dispatch tool
Reach out to our Support Team on any issue or question
Follow Repair Process
Develop an understanding of our own 5-step repair process and use it in the field
Master each part of your custom-made tool-kit
Think outside the box to create one-of-a-kind repairs
We are in search of someone with experience in painting. This could be interior or exterior painting, or even painting in a visual art sense. Your knowledge of color and paint application will assist in the color matching portion of the repair process.
QUALIFICATIONS
Practical experience with a hands-on trade - Example include any part the construction, manufacturing, or painting process. Personal hobbies could work too!
Maintenance experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
Color is a fundamental part of our work, and the ability to understand and manipulate color is crucial for success.
