PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: * Powder coat components, including pre-treatment and finish coat and reading/organizing work orders. * Prepare spray paint equipment, including filling spray containers with correct powder, connecting all air hoses with available tools, and regulating width and pressure of spray according to knowledge of painting technique.
* Spray paint manufactured articles on paint line and clean all spray equipment.
* Hang and remove components from the paint conveyor line to ensure a quality finish throughout the painting process.
* May apply masking tape or other similar material over parts and areas that are not to be coated.
* May clean grease, dirt, and rust from products using appropriate chemicals.
* May hang components on the painting rack and remove them once they have gone through the painting process.
* Maintain work area and keeps area clean and organized; responsible for the maintenance of equipment.
* Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
* Ensure the safe operation of equipment.
* Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
* Report immediately to supervisor/lead/manager any and all problems, which may affect safety, equipment, tooling, and/or quality.
* Maintain full working knowledge of all processes.

Perform daily paint line start-up and shut-down/clean-up tasks as required.

Operate controls and functions of paint booths and paint guns.
Follow ISO procedures when taking paint from stock. Break down empty paint boxes.

Operate hoist.
Stage/prepare prep materials for approaching weldments
Blow water out of weldments using air gun; ensuring all parts coming out of dry-off oven are water free
Properly insert plugs, apply masking and handle covers per work instructions
Remove weld spatter and jagged edges using hand tools
Thoroughly wipe off parts to ensure good powder adhesion
Sort and restock plug bins
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Clean all stages of equipment, including curing ovens per the preventive maintenance schedule.
Perform other duties as assigned including prep, load and unload duties.
REQUIREMENTS:
Previous electrostatic powder coating paint experience preferred.
Ability to effectively communicate in English (speak, read, write and understand).
Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed and work under schedule and time restrictions with limited supervision.

Removes, installs, repairs and checks plant mechanical devices and equipment. Cuts, brazes and welds various metals used on construction of forms, guardrails, catwalks, runways, stairs, etc. Works with furnace line personnel to install and adjust oil burners, etc. Inspects plant equipment and follows preventative maintenance program.
Individuals will be trained Monday-Friday 7am-3pm and then assigned to a crew to work rotating shifts. Rotating shift work involves working 7 consecutive days of an 8am-4pm shift followed by 3 days off, then working 7 consecutive days of a 12mid-8am shift followed by 2 days off and then working 7 consecutive days of a 4pm-12mid shift followed by two days off and then starting back on the 8-4 shift. This amounts to working 21 days with 7 days off in a 28-day cycle.
The apprenticeship is an 8,000-hour program and is governed by federally approved national standards. Those who are hired will be required to complete a minimum of 144 hours of approved classroom training each twelve months. Classroom training is through local technical schools. These classes are taken during your non-working hours, and you are not paid while attending. All courses, textbooks and fees will be paid at 100% by Anchor Glass Container.

The essence of the Paint Prep Technician's role is to prepare all pieces and products for paint while keeping a high-quality standard.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares products by doing light bodywork, sanding, blocking, filing, and priming
Assists Lead Painter in preparing products for paint
Places products for painting on movable platforms
Moves and stages painted products in the drying room
Responsible for overseeing paint and prep material inventory
Keeps work area clean and organized
Communicate ideas and issues in a timely manner.
Ensure high-quality standards.
Work in a team-orientated manner.
Inspect refurbished materials, assess conditions, and make recommendations for future improvements.
ATTRIBUTES
Able to prepare products for paint application.
Able to stand and prep all parts for extended times throughout the shift.
Able to sand and finish the product before painting.
QUALIFICATIONS
1-2 years experience required
Previous experience in auto body paint preparation is preferred.
Basic computer knowledge.
Experienced with hand tools and sanding devices.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
The target hourly range is $24.00 - $30.00, depending upon qualifications and experience. Expanded pay ranges may be available for growth and advancement opportunities. In addition to hourly pay, the compensation package also includes eligibility for profit-sharing and monthly bonus opportunity. Job Description
Individuals in this role will repair and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Works with a wide variety of hand tools and power hand tools. May use welding and cutting equipment and machine tools. Works with oils and lubricants. Performs work that requires specialized experience and training related to skills trades.
This role also repairs, overhauls and services mechanized equipment, i.e., hoists, elevators, conveyors, mobile equipment, hi-lifts, etc. Performs carpentry work in construction, repairing or modifying structures, cabinets, scaffolds, shelves, offices, jogs, fixtures, etc. Uses brushes and spray guns in painting interiors and exteriors, equipment, etc., including preparation of surfaces and mixing paints. Installs and maintains utility lines for gas, water, air, etc., including general plumbing work. Inspects, installs, relocates, repairs and maintains plant electrical equipment, i.e. motors, switch boxes, panels, instruments, starters, control devices, power circuits, feeders, etc. Installs, moves, repairs and maintains mechanical and electronic selecting devices. Removes, installs, repairs and checks plant mechanical devices and equipment. Cuts, brazes and welds various metals used on construction of forms, guardrails, catwalks, runways, stairs, etc. Works with furnace line personnel to install and adjust oil burners, etc. Inspects plant equipment and follows preventative maintenance program.
Individuals will be trained Monday-Friday 7am-3pm and then assigned to a crew to work rotating shifts. Rotating shift work involves working 7 consecutive days of an 8am-4pm shift followed by 3 days off, then working 7 consecutive days of a 12mid-8am shift followed by 2 days off and then working 7 consecutive days of a 4pm-12mid shift followed by two days off and then starting back on the 8-4 shift. This amounts to working 21 days with 7 days off in a 28-day cycle.
The apprenticeship is an 8,000-hour program and is governed by federally approved national standards. Those who are hired will be required to complete a minimum of 144 hours of approved classroom training each twelve months. Classroom training is through local technical schools. These classes are taken during your non-working hours, and you are not paid while attending. All courses, textbooks and fees will be paid at 100% by Anchor Glass Container.
