Job Overview

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION
Prepares work areas with drop cloths and tarps as needed to minimize dust and disturbance.
Prepares surfaces for painting by spackling, sanding, and cleaning to remove dust and residue.
Applies paint, primer, stain, and other finishes to interior and exterior walls, floors, ceilings, partitions, woodwork, furniture, equipment, and other fixtures.
Erects and disassembles scaffolding.
Cleans up tools and surrounding area during drying time and after completion.
Determines materials needed for jobs, checking against current supply. Orders and receives supplies and equipment for each job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to work both indoors and outdoors as required by the function. Must have the physical ability to maneuver around facility, at times, walking and/or standing up to 4-8 hours daily. Ability to communicate via two-way radio.
