3 - Third ShiftAre you the type of person who is detail oriented and driven to craft a high-quality product? In this role you will spray surfaces of machines and manufactured parts with primer, pre-finish and finish coats of paint. We're looking for a team member to contribute to a legacy of quality by turning raw iron into Vermeer yellow iron that drives our world forward.
What You'll Do
1. Apply primer coating to treated metal, apply topcoat to primed parts and adjust paints per Vermeer's quality standards.
2. Prepare parts prior to paint, as needed.
3. Inspect parts throughout the process and repair paint defects to meet quality standards.
4. Operate high pressure cleaning equipment to treat metal prior to painting.
5. Perform regular and routine maintenance on paint equipment.
6. Follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) regulations on safety as well as labeling, handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
7. Perform rework and touch-ups as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to successfully complete Vermeer Paint Training.
- Ability to meet established Vermeer quality standards.
- Ability to perform problem solving techniques and root cause analysis.
