Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications: Skills Must have the ability to remember packing sequence and pack patterns. Ability to carry out work orders, make decisions on bottle jams. Must be able to meet deadlines. Education and/or Equivalent Experience Basic math skills. To be able to calculate the number of bottles that can fit into a box and pack bottles in different sequences and in numerical sequence of box labels. Must be able to speak, write and read effectively in order to understand packing labels, travelers, work orders, safety notices, and other forms of written communication. Ability to print legibly and to fill out forms. Must be punctual. Physical Requirements/Work Environment (Obsolete temperature information, climate-controlled facility) The noise level on the production floor is 90dB. The Production Packers must wear protective foot coverings such as, rubber-soled shoes. Also, must wear earplugs, safety glasses, bump caps and hairnets when on the production floor. No jewelry except a wedding band without stones. Will frequently lift up to 35 lbs. Also, will be stooping to pick up bottles that are dropped approximately 4% of the day. Will move both arms constantly form the machine to the box. Usually picks up 2 to 3 bottles per hand. Must be able to visually detect bottle defects as instructed. Required to read labels on cartons and match them against the label samples provided in the job packets. Constant bending, twisting and standing are required on the average of 80% of the day. Packers work inside and outside the plant Production, Stores and Warehouse buildings. Other work locations include railcars and trailer trucks and their respective loading and unloading stations. Packers will sometimes be required to climb ladders and stairs and perform work in and on elevated areas such as roofs and dust collectors. Some areas will be noisy and may include various inclement temperatures and weather conditions. Stooping, bending and heavy lifting are involved in all areas. Duties performed in operating areas will be required working with toxic and hazardous chemicals around moving machinery. Ensure the correct bags for the job are being used; when necessary, load the correct bags onto the tray Verify the filters are centered in the bag as they are discharged from the auto bagger Verify the lot number and time stamp are on the bags. When the bags are discharged from the auto bagger, ensure they are straight and upright so they feed properly into the auto sealer. Remove unbagged filters from the conveyor belt (to the sealer) and place the filters into the recycle bin. If the sealer belt breaks, turn off the auto bagger and sealer. Advise the lead person and the machine operator to shut off the machine. Ability to place the correct amount of finished units into the master. Ability to sit or stand for eight hours.

Remove any B Grade eggs that the graders cannot identify and remove. Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Packing good product in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring there are no missing eggs, bad cartons, or cases. Removing cracked or dirty eggs and replace. Monitor quality of stamps on eggs when applicable. Dispose of any eggs or trash dropped on the floor and place in proper trash receptacle. When encountering recurring problems, notify machine operator or management immediately if you notice any packaging problems such as double cartons, wrong dates, or broken eggs. Assist with training of other team members as needed. Fulfill additional tasks as assigned by Processing Supervisor, Processing Manager, and General Manager.
