Responsibilities Responsibilities: Performs routine packing tasks involved in the manufacturing of plastic bottles, following the information provided on the traveler. May be required to operate the box machines, tape and glue gun. Follows prescribed procedures, performs duties such as packing and insertion of corrugated material. Maintains a clean and orderly work area. Verifies carton label information. Prepares boxes for packing. Able to pack bottles both in the production area and in the repack area when necessary. Able to pack bottles in various types of machines. Reports any safety issues to the supervisor immediately. Reports accidents to the supervisor immediately. Follows site cGMP and Safety requirements. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications: Skills Must have the ability to remember packing sequence and pack patterns. Ability to carry out work orders, make decisions on bottle jams. Must be able to meet deadlines. Education and/or Equivalent Experience Basic math skills. To be able to calculate the number of bottles that can fit into a box and pack bottles in different sequences and in numerical sequence of box labels. Must be able to speak, write and read effectively in order to understand packing labels, travelers, work orders, safety notices, and other forms of written communication. Ability to print legibly and to fill out forms. Must be punctual. Physical Requirements/Work Environment (Obsolete temperature information, climate-controlled facility) The noise level on the production floor is 90dB. The Production Packers must wear protective foot coverings such as, rubber-soled shoes. Also, must wear earplugs, safety glasses, bump caps and hairnets when on the production floor. No jewelry except a wedding band without stones. Will frequently lift up to 35 lbs. Also, will be stooping to pick up bottles that are dropped approximately 4% of the day. Will move both arms constantly form the machine to the box. Usually picks up 2 to 3 bottles per hand. Must be able to visually detect bottle defects as instructed. Required to read labels on cartons and match them against the label samples provided in the job packets. Constant bending, twisting and standing are required on the average of 80% of the day. Ability to count, grab, stack, and place filters onto conveyors (or in poly bags) in a manner which maintains quality standards and production speeds. Ability to follow verbal or written direction. Ensure the correct bags for the job are being used; when necessary, load the correct bags onto the tray Verify the filters are centered in the bag as they are discharged from the auto bagger Verify the lot number and time stamp are on the bags. When the bags are discharged from the auto bagger, ensure they are straight and upright so they feed properly into the auto sealer. Remove unbagged filters from the conveyor belt (to the sealer) and place the filters into the recycle bin. If the sealer belt breaks, turn off the auto bagger and sealer. Advise the lead person and the machine operator to shut off the machine. Ability to place the correct amount of finished units into the master. Ability to sit or stand for eight hours.

The Picker/Packer is responsible for ensuring accurate order picking, packaging, and preparation for shipment. Schedule: 12 Hour Rotational - NIGHT SHIFT Duties and Responsibilities: * Assign machine line responsibility to Packers using criteria provided * Assigns and helps to give breaks (including lunch) throughout shift. * Creates and issues labels for cartons. * Must be fluent in production parts. * With the guidance of the Supervisor, directs other Packers. * Backup the supervisor if they are absent by completing incident reports, production shift reports and documents, understanding of SPC, working knowledge of SAP and print Work Orders. * Utilize Separation Stroke * Manage Packers timesheets and vacation requests in payroll system. * Encourage and train packers to complete levels in the certification program and make updates into the LMS as needed. * Conduct progress conversations with packers once a quarter (every 3 months) * Ensure all necessary boxes that are needed for production are staged and ready to use. * Must be able to follow production schedule and ensure that all boxes are labeled or properly printed for use in production. * Ensure that all production lines have proper date coding equipment to comply with date coding requirements. * Ensure that proper pallet configurations are followed when product is being palletized. * Assign other tasks such as repack or hold product inspection, during line downtime episodes. * Responsible for picking, inspecting, and packing quality parts into boxes on his/her assigned Thermoforming Line when needed * Accurately counting parts to ensure that customers get a consistent, quality product. * Bagging counted parts, and placing into correct box on the assigned production line. * Assure that each box is properly sealed to minimize the potential for damage. * Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. * Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken) is required.

* Ability to count, grab, stack, and place filters onto conveyors (or in poly bags) in a manner which maintains quality standards and production speeds. * Ability to follow verbal or written direction. * Ensure the correct bags for the job are being used; when necessary, load the correct bags onto the tray * Verify the filters are centered in the bag as they are discharged from the auto bagger * Verify the lot number and time stamp are on the bags. * When the bags are discharged from the auto bagger, ensure they are straight and upright so they feed properly into the auto sealer. * Remove unbagged filters from the conveyor belt (to the sealer) and place the filters into the recycle bin. * If the sealer belt breaks, turn off the auto bagger and sealer. Advise the lead person and the machine operator to shut off the machine. * Ability to place the correct amount of finished units into the master. * Ability to sit or stand for eight hours.
