* Safely operates the pallet jack equipment and maintain battery charging for ongoing capability

* Assists in the cutting of cores for the Slitter Operators to maintain production

* Stages Master Rolls from FSL to machine
* Performs miscellaneous tasks as needed by supervisor.

* Responsible for training any other incoming operators.

* Demonstrates capability of handling responsibilities across all seven slitting lines
* Demonstrates basic understanding of Traveler, Packaging specification documents

Job Description/Responsibilities:
Secure job assignment, including minimal job instructions for ordinary work, facilities and materials. Determine sequence of operations.
Identify materials, prepare and pack parts, sub-assemblies and complete machines in boxes, pallets and other containers. Load containers, parts, sub-assemblies and machines on freight cars, trucks, etc. manually or with jib and overhead cranes in accordance with loading instructions. Secure parts/material with wire rope, bands, loading rods and plates, lumber and other blocking materials and miscellaneous hardware items, using saws, drills, hammers and other hand tools. Apply preservatives and protective materials.
Workload may change mid operation to more priority concerns.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years experience cutting, forming and building a variety of wood boxes for shipment of products
Experience of loading and securing large components onto rail cars and trucks
Experience using hand and power tools (drills, saws, etc.)
Desired Qualifications:
Carpentry background a plus
Ability to work well individually or in a team environment
Ability to work overtime to support production demands
Experience in preserving and securing parts on crates and skids

To safely complete all the assigned duties of maintaining the housekeeping, organization in the preparation of packaging the slitting finished goods, as well as the assigned rewinding of product for packaging, that assure high quality products in meeting the customer specifications.
WORK PERFORMED:
Fully understands and follows all ABX safety rules and policies.
Reviews packaging materials required vs. available and communicates needs & stocks lines
Able to read packaging Traveler
Safely operates the pallet jack equipment and maintain battery charging for ongoing capability
Accurately operates the overhead hoists, packs, bands and labels finished products.
Performs all necessary quality checks and documents results.
Assists in the cutting of cores for the Slitter Operators to maintain production
Scanning Finished pallets, SWRAP1/REWORK/HOLD
Capable of looking up packing and splicing codes in the system
Stages Master Rolls from FSL to machine
Performs miscellaneous tasks as needed by supervisor.
Maintains housekeeping
Responsible for training any other incoming operators.
Must be able to independently run one rewinder.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
Minimum 3 months as Packer/Rewinder in Training
Demonstrates capability of handling responsibilities across all seven slitting lines
Demonstrates basic understanding of Traveler, Packaging specification documents
Good verbal and written communication skills
Works with others to keep areas organized and works as a team member to assist others.
Capable of and committed to follow the plant and departmental safety procedures, food safety guidelines and company procedures.
Good communication and organizational skills
Demonstrates basic mathematical skills.
Continuous learning will be expected
Able to work overtime as required

3rd Shift - Bottle Packer / Inspector
Packer Job 35 miles from Milwaukee
This person will perform the inspection and packing of all types of containers, which are manufactured at the facility under the direction of the Production Supervisor or an assigned person. You may also operate other downstream equipment under the direction of the Production Supervisor or an assigned person (see below for specific job duties). Assist in the coaching of lower level Bottle Packers regarding good company/packing practices (see below for specific job duties).
Schedule: 11pm - 706am - Monday through Friday
Some Mandatory Weekend Work, based on production volume
Responsibilities and Duties
Ensure a high-quality bottle by visually inspecting bottles for defects, in accordance with plant quality improvement procedures.
Package bottle according to customer's specifications.
Make cartons for the packaging of the finished bottles, or assist other co-workers in the making of cartons.
Ensure that glue or tape is applied properly to the cartons.
Grind bottles not meeting minimum quality standards (if applicable).
Remove contaminates from bottles before grinding (if applicable).
Maintain a high degree of cleanliness in the production area.
Clear jams on downstream equipment and restart.
Housekeeping requirements in accordance with Third Party regulations.
Perform rework where needed.
Assist co-workers where needed.
Experience Requirements
High-school graduate or equivalent GED
Demonstrated ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in the English language.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must be able to lift up to 30 - 35 pounds above head frequently, and 35 - 40 pounds occasionally.
