Job Introduction
Universal Associates are responsible for assisting Hearthside facilities in the placing, packing and palletizing of components or products for the Operations Department.
Role Responsibility
What you'll be doing:
Inspecting product for quality and any signs of for quality and any signs of foreign material contamination.
Rejecting product that does not meet qualifications
Supply lines as needed
Palletize (Place boxes on pallets)
Bailing as needed

A Brief Overview
The role involves various tasks on the production line, including placing bottles and sprayers on conveyor belts, packing products, and adding promotional items. Place empty bottles onto moving conveyor belts.

Place hangtags, sleeves or other promotional items on bottles moving on a conveyor belt.
Clean labels or product off bottles.
Empty bottles of product.
Pack into shipper's final products.
Use L-Bar machine after training when necessary.
Be responsible for the final quality of every unit that is placed into a customer's shipper. If unsure of the quality standard required, there is a responsibility to check with the Team Leader before packing questionable product.
Be responsible for the safety and housekeeping in the immediate work area. Help to clean up if the packing line stops for any period. Report any unsafe conditions to your Team Leader or Supervisor.
Participate in Continuous Improvement activities.

This position is accountable for receiving damaged products, salvaging saleable products, restoring those products to saleable condition and returning those products to inventory.
The Repacker's primary duties include evaluating products returned due to damage to determine which products meet the threshold of acceptability for sale in compliance with the Warehouse policies and procedures and all quality control standards that apply to repacking. The Repacker is responsible for cleaning and repackaging the acceptable products, including revising the product coding to ensure all combined products in the mother carton are coded correctly. The Repacker is responsible for inventorying the repackaged products and working with the Warehouse Manager/Assistant Warehouse Manager to have the products returned to inventory. The Repacker is also responsible for destroying unsaleable product and maintaining the appropriate records that facilitate tax credit due to the Company for destroyed product. The Repacker is required to comply with all policies and procedures regarding recycling waste materials resulting from repacking operations.
This is a full time position, Monday through Friday, with hours beginning approximately at 6:00 a.m. and ending at 2:00 p.m..

TITLE: TN - Packer (1st Shift)
Packages and inspects materials and products
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
High school diploma or equivalent, no prior experience or training
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs highly repetitive trimming, flaming, assembly, inspection, counting, and packaging of injection and/or blow molded components and parts
Visually inspects product for defects as defined in the QAS (Quality Assurance Standard)
Counts parts and individual packages within cases either by stack height or weight as required
Ensures that cases are labeled correctly, in the proper sequence, stamped with an operator/packer stamp, and stacks cases on pallets
Performs secondary operations as required
Reworks/sorts defective product as necessary
Maintains a steady rate of work as to meet or exceed standard labor costs
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat.
Loud noise level that requires hearing protection
